Hilton Head Island Fishing Cooperative Park

Hilton Head Island Fishing Cooperative Park combines waterfront recreation with local history at 133 Squire Pope Road. Formerly known as the Rowing & Sailing Center at Squire Pope Community Park, it provides access to Skull Creek for nonmotorized boats, including kayaks and rowing shells. A fishing pier and an ADA-accessible kayak launch are among its key waterfront features. 

 The park also includes a playground, restrooms, picnic tables, grills and a pavilion. An exhibit kiosk and public art mural explain the Hilton Head Fishing Cooperative, which operated on the property from 1966 to 1978. Visitors can combine a paddling outing or picnic with time learning about the site’s past. Its mix of recreation and interpretation makes this a distinctive stop on Hilton Head’s north end.
