Townhouse Tennis 18

Upon arrival, we immediately noticed how dirty the floors were before we even brought in our luggage. After mopping the tile and hardwood areas, we were shocked at how filthy the mop became, making it clear the floors had not been properly cleaned.

Unfortunately, this level of neglect was evident throughout the villa. There were large stains on the carpet, the furniture was very outdated, and several repairs appeared to have been left unfinished.

We had invited guests to join us and were genuinely embarrassed by the condition of the property. After vacationing in Hilton Head Island for more than 25 years, this was well below the standard of accommodations we’ve come to expect.

I would be happy to provide photographs to support the concerns outlined in this review if needed.

Townhouse Tennis 18 is a great condo. It's close to the Pope entrance of Shipyard, making access to restaurants and Coligny quick. The tennis and pickleball courts are brand new. The pool is just a few steps away and is kept clean. There's ample parking. The condo itself is perfect for a family of 6 to 8 people. The back patio is a quiet oasis overlooking a waterway and the green of the golf course.

Seashore Vacations were EXCELLENT. Very responsive in every way! On the other end the unit is in need of major furniture upgrades. OLD OLD OLD. The outdoor grill should be thrown out.
If you are not overly picky you will enjoy this unit.

We highly recommend Seashore vacations. This is our 2nd time booking a rental through them. They supplied the rental unit with plenty of linens, towels, TP, paper towels, etc. their communication is personal and responsive.
The Rental unit in Shipyard was very spacious, however very outdated. Stains on rugs. Broken electrical plates. Kitchen cabinets had too much stuff in them. No room to put any dry food. The TV in one of the bedrooms didn’t work.

To start with, check in was supposed to be at 4pm, the unit was not clean until 6:12 pm. I was instructed at 3pm staff had 1 hr. to clear a 3-bedroom villa, "by a crew." After texting several times was told the unit was clean. Arrived at 6pm to fine only 2 ladies cleaning, and was told, "This was just released to us 1 hr. ago." It was far from clean: Handrail was so dirty, took several Lysol wipes to clean. All light switches very dirty. Mirrow not cleaned in bedroom, Gum on the side table. All throw rugs were very dirty with stains, as well at the carpet, dirt still on the floor in the kitchen. Tried to sweep the dirt up, but the bottom of the broom fell off. Outside setting area had not been cleaned in a long time, green mold everywhere, and even up the glass of the sliding kitchen door. And large amount leaves upstairs gathered in the corner of porch. Screws falling out of the chairs, and laying in the floor, we had to put back in. And one of the halls folding doors was off its track, we had to re-hang it, housekeeping did not bother to fix. We were extended 2 hours late checkout but only used 1 hr. Shipyard security pulled us over and threatened us with a fine of $100.00 per day, per bike, for having an e-bike on the bike rack of our car. No battery in it, and they would be chained up. Had to pay for storage for a week for them. was not informed of this prior to arrival. Could be a nice place if repairs were made and thoroughly cleaned.

First, our check-in policy—clearly stated on our reservations and all correspondence—notes that check-in is between 4:00 and 6:00 PM on Saturdays during peak season. We do not promise a 4:00 PM sharp check-in time. In this case, the cleaning company originally assigned to this unit unfortunately failed to show up as scheduled. Once we became aware of the issue, we immediately dispatched an alternate team to clean the unit. The company responsible for the delay has since been terminated, and your feedback has been passed along to our new cleaning team to ensure higher quality moving forward. We understand your frustration with the condition you found upon arrival, and while this fell short of our standards, had these issues been reported during your stay—such as the cleanliness concerns, loose screws in chairs, or the closet door—our in-house maintenance and support staff would have been happy to come out and resolve them promptly. We did not receive any communication regarding these matters during your visit after you checked in.  Additionally, we were glad to be able to honor your request for a two-hour late checkout. Regarding the situation with your e-bike, please note that Seashore Vacations is not affiliated with the Shipyard Plantation or its security team. We manage the individual unit you stayed in, but we do not control community-wide policies. That said, it's important to know that most communities on Hilton Head Island restrict e-bikes—even without the battery—due to safety concerns on the bike trails. These are local regulations enforced by the individual communities, such as Shipyard and Sea Pines, and the town of Hilton Head, not by our company. We had a great time in Hilton Head. The townhouse was clean, comfortable and in a great location, close to many attractions, restaurants, etc. The back patio was where we spent most of the time and the views were amazing! There is a need for some minor upgrades (electrical, doors off track, furniture fixes,etc.). Overall, a great experience and look forward to coming back!

Comfortable townhouse well equipped. Our family of 4 enjoyed being able to spread out in the 3 bedrooms and hangout in the family room. We were so excited to find a decorated Christmas tree set up for us in the family room! From the moment we booked to the time we checked out communication with excellent.

We rented a great property from Seashore Vacations. We have used them before and they are a great company which we highly recommend. The rental was in a great location, close to bars, restaurants and shops. There was a pool and tennis courts available to use and the area was peaceful. The property was clean, well fitted out, plenty of towels/linens, starter pack of essentials and clear instructions on how to work things. We had an issue with the Internet and contacted Seashore Vacations who responded immediately a d resolved the issue very quickly. Their team are very efficient and helpful and communication is very good. Check in was quick and seamless. Highly recommend them.

We had an awesome time on Hilton Head and really enjoyed this unit. It was spacious for 4 people, had great views, a walkable tennis court, and easy access to Pope Street. We look forward to staying here again next winter!

This was an amazing stay we had back in August!! We love HHI and have been visiting for years and also love staying in Shipyard. It is our favorite place to be and this location was perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We were very satisfied w/ our rental. Both the size and location were perfect. We loved how close the unit was to both the pool and tennis courts. We loved that it felt private on the back patio The only suggestion I would have is to have cleaning people bring some of the previous renters’ trash with them as they leave. When we arrived there was trash overflowing onto the front porch and we had to live with it until trash pick up on Tuesday. The washing machine also has trouble midway through the cycle and you have to run the spin cycle a few extra times before putting clothes in the dryer. Overall, we had a great week and would recommend and/or rent this unit again!

I have been visiting HHI for over 30 yrs and now my family gets to enjoy this beautiful island. We have only stay in Shipyard and this was my first rime in this section (Tennis) the units layout was wonderful. Very spacious and bathrooms for everyone. Its a mix of updated and a little older but very functional. Two great patios, one over looking the golf course with beautiful calming views. Great for breakfast and coffee. The location is great. We love to go Coligny plaze often and it's an easy walk or bike ride and the beach is across the street from the only recommendations to the owner is make the other down stairs bedroom w/on suite a king bed. It could be used as a second master if you can't or don't like the stairs to the primary. My only negative is that the mattress are painfuly firm. Not my cup of tea. Invest in a better mattress.

Great family vacation. Townhouse was spacious and super clean and comfortable. There were 6 of us total. Rode our bikes everywhere it was just minutes from the beach and Coligny Plaza. Would definitely recommend.

Great location on the Island.
As described , clean, modern, updated,
Seashore Vacations was friendly and great to deal with.
One suggestion would be to upgrade channel options on cable to include more than local channels, like ESPN , Discovery and NatGEO.

What a great time we had! Gorgeous, well equipped comfy home. Perfectly located close to everything but yet so private. Never seen a soul at the pool all week. The beach was a quick bike ride away and so beautiful. The lush greenery and awesome weather made for a relaxing time by all.

We had a wonderful time on HHI, staying at Townhouse Tennis 18. Very impressive family room with soaring ceiling. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms nicely decorated. The shower door in the downstairs bathroom came off the track a few times and it needs a stopper for the tub. The location is great for Caligney shops and beach but it is a long walk/bike ride to Shipyard's beach. Overall, we loved staying there and would definitley go back again.

This townhouse was great for our family. There is lots of space for everyone to be together, yet, also have a little space to themselves if they need it. The neighborhood is quiet, with many friendly, permanent residents. The pool is very close, the walking paths abundant, and there are multiple lakes and lagoons to throw a fishing line. The kitchen had everything you need to cook meals in, including a grill on the back patio. Be prepared to drive and park when you head to the beach. You can drop off your family and gear off right at the beach entrance, but, then you will need to go and find parking in the reserved areas. We enjoyed a dolphin cruise, kayaking the salt marches, and beach and pool time. After fun filled days, we relaxed with board games and smores in the evening. Thankful for this cozy retreat!

Thus is by far the best lication on the island. Central to everything with beach access. The unit is clean and full of amenities. Close to the pool and off the golf course and close to the gate. Seashore Vacations made everything easy from start to finish and is very attentive and cooperative. We would definitely use them again and look forward to our next stay.

Over the 15 years that my family has rented at Shipyard, the Townhouse Tennis community is our favorite. This rather secluded community is quiet, very near the Pope Avenue gate, and a short walk to Coligny Plaza and beach. There is ample parking with one assigned semi-enclosed parking space per unit. The villa is clean, has a very well-equipped kitchen with all appliances in excellent working condition. All rooms are spacious, nicely furnished, and super comfortable. Seniors will love that there are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms on the first floor. The upstairs bedroom suite has a balcony perfect for morning reflections and coffee. We found this villa to be a sanctuary after a long day at the beach, shopping at nearby outlets, biking, or sight-seeing. There is a pool within the community. At the end of our two week stay, we felt as if we were leaving home. We hit the jackpot with this vacation: the weather was perfect and we did not see any South Carolina bugs in the villa!
