Shorewood 207

We enjoyed our stay at Shorewood 207. The View was nice the facility felt safe, and it was a short walk to the beach. It was a short walk up to the shops with sidewalks and crosswalks the entire way. The apartment needed some repairs, but overall was acceptable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shorewood. The pool, hot tub and location were excellent. Our unit (207) had been partially updated. But there are still some areas that could use work. The unit was clean, is an end unit and overall even though it wasn't likely the most up to date unit in the complex, it did not hinder our vacation in anyway.

SW 207 is a very outdated, worn down and dirty condo. There were stains on the carpet and furniture. Never mind the musty smell the permeates throughout the whole condo. One of the showers did not work, faucets and toilets that constantly ran.
One positive note, Seashore was very pleasant to work with.

Had a great time spending time with family while in Hilton head. Condo very spacious and in a great location. Clean and had everything we needed. Could use a little updating in kitchen and 2nd and 3rd bath but otherwise would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here last year. Knew what we were getting ourselves into. In our opinion, price outmatches the condition of the property. Plus, great location, pool, and access to the beach. Would love to purchase and rehab property!!

Amenities and location were good. Rental unit needs updates to the bedroom baths for bedrm 2 and 3. Also those bedrooms were warm,not good air conditioning. A good coat of paint and rug cleaning is needed.

The bathrooms were terrible I hate to say. There was mold and mildew in the grout, on the shower curtains, and rotten/mildewy baseboards. 2 of 3 showers were very slow to drain. In the master there were used qtips behind the bed. Would definitely stay in another unit there .

We absolutely love Shorewood. Best location on the island in our opinion. The only issue we had, the refrigerator was not very cold. The freezer would not keep anything frozen. We bought a bag of ice and it all melted.

The Shorewood Complex is a beautiful area--we have stayed in many units that were just wonderful, but this condo just fell short! This condo is in need of updating, a deep clean and completion of projects. When we reached out to Seashore Vacations with concerns, they immediately resolved the issues! We were not able to get the ice-maker to work, but Seashore Vacations sent us 2 bags of ice, which helped a lot! A beautiful view but needs some TLC! I would rent from Seashore again, but would choose another condo next time!

I have stayed in Shorewood more than ten times. This is the first time in this unit. It wasn’t up to the others I have visited. There were holes in the walls and ceilings. There wasn’t a lock ion the lanai door instead the door slid open when we were outside and a bar held it closed when we were inside

Overall a great vacation! We loved the Shorewood complex! We have been visiting for years and usually stay at Ocean One, but may be hooked on Shorewood going forward. We chose unit 207 due to cost, but will most likely stay in another unit going forward. Main living area was open and spacious and can’t deny how nice the view was from the dining table and out on the balcony. The kitchen is small but functional. The bathrooms need a lot of attention though. Water marks and peeled paint on the ceiling, old gross vanities, possible mold on baseboards behind toilet and base of vanities. Would not have been a big deal if just outdated, but these were boarder line gross. The final issue was the patio door. It would not stay closed and slid open a couple inches as soon as you closed it. I did let the management company know so it could get fixed for the renters. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Shorewood. Just maybe not unit 207

I’d say every other review I read (too late I’m afraid) was accurate. Great views and pool. The property was described as “dated” but it went well beyond that. Kinda gross. Carpet looked disgusting, vents not clean. We we were given the option to switch to this property after the rental company called to say our first choice was under construction. So I never saw the VRBO reviews until later.

Love the view. Unit needs some repairs. Handle on sliding door broken off, hot water runs out quickly, master bedroom mattress needs replacing but we have stayed here before and love the unit. Let me know if you ever want to sell

Great service from rental staff. Disappointed with pool and hot tub being closed. Some minor improvements needed in unit. We knew it was dated but things like moldy shower curtain liners and most windows could not be opened could be fixed without updating unit. I was told the very stained carpeting was being replaced this month or next so that is good for future renters.

Ladies long weekend and first visit to Hilton Head Island. Property was spacious and had plenty of sleep and seating area for medium sized party. Kitchen had minimal supplies. You would need to bring your personal items if planning to cook larger meals. Overall, clean but could use some remodeling, such as, carpet and bath fixtures replaced. Property grounds were well maintained and clean.

Location was excellent - I was familiar with the area and knew the beach, pool, and proximity to Coligny would outweigh a condo that needed some updating. We overlooked the outdated condo - but you could NOT use the washer at all. It sounded like it was about to break apart and tear the whole building down with it. I’m sure the owner knows. I hope they are able to renovate in the offseason but it would not keep us from booking it if not.

You get what you pay for, but there are limits...

CONS:
Plugs don’t hold anything.
Carpet is filthy.
Washer cannot handle a 3 towel load as it sounds like a jet plane off kilter.
Master bathtub has a chipped downspout. Fan doesn’t work.
Furniture is worn and dirty.
No pot holders in the unit.
Only 8 forks.
Dishwasher not attached to countertop and fell on our feet.
All vents are filthy.
Sliding door fell off the track. FELL OFF!
No lights in bedrooms that attach to the switch.
Ceiling is falling down.
Pots and pan handles are loose.
Kitchen redo is like lipstick on a pig.
No deadbolt. Had to put chair in front of it to secure it.
Bathroom has hot out of downspout and cold goes to the shower.
Table on patio had the be leveled with folded paper.
Lounge chair straps are broken.
Microwave is too close to the stove top, cannot stir a pan. When both the microwave and stove are on at the same time it pops a circuit breaker.
If the owner would just invest some money in the unit, it would be terrific.

PROS:
The view.
The pool.
Close to Coligny.
The management company.

Seashore vacations was amazing in offering us this accommodation when our original rental was under construction. Great location and size with an awesome ocean view. Kitchen was well stocked and the place was clean. The condo could use an overall refresh as bathrooms and furniture were showing their age. There were no hangers which would be an easy fix and the towels were thin and not very absorbant. Most outlets needed to be replaced (Not holding the plug in) and would have been lovely if the windows opened. Overall these things did not take away from a wonderful week on our favourite island. Unit 207 is a 3 bedroom end unit facing the ocean. We loved the location and the 3 king sized beds and en-suite baths. We had needed to be moved from a previous unit due to construction so we were very pleased to get this unit for 2 weeks. Beds are comfy and the living area is bright and sunny. Note however that this unit needs some TLC. My daughter said it was like walking into grandmas house, outdated but cozy. Kitchen was stocked minimally appliances need upgrading and bar stools are the wrong height. Would we stay there again? Given the right price yes. But renter needs to be open minded ��

Upon arrival the commode in one bathroom had not been flushed and there was hair in the tub. All bathrooms were dirty - need deep cleaning not just left from previous guest. Carpet is very dirty and worn. Plaster peeling from ceiling. Under sink in kitchedn was a container used to catch a leak with black mold in it. Patio door needs to new track hard to open and close. There is no lock on the inside of the main door entering the unit. Any one with the code could enter while we were asleep. Hopefully the code gets changed after each quest. Pur 3 yesar old garndson was able to exit at will so we had keep a big chair in front of the door. It did have a beautiful view - has potential of being a nice property but it appeasrs no one cares. Did not minf being outdated but I must have clean, will not rent again this unit - I recommend Seachsore Vacations but not this unit.

We have been visiting HHI for over 12 years and this unit was, by far, the best location we have ever stayed in. While it does need updates in the bathrooms and kitchen, it was clean, functional and perfectly suited for our needs for the week. We'd love to stay here again.

The property matched the perfect weather we had. The unit was very roomy and nicely appointed. Great view of the ocean and seating for all on the balcony. All furniture, appliances and cookware were in very good condition. The pool is amazing and hot tub was great too. Easy access to beach and the beach itself is beautiful in this section. Quick walk or bike to Coligny circle for restaurants, shops, groceries etc. this is our second time at this unit. Would go back again for sure. Like all the King beds!

Great ocean views from balcony. Nice pool and easy beach access. Condo is dated but has everything you need for comfortable stay. Close to lots of restaurants. Adequate parking and places for bikes.

This unit could use some updates, outlets especially. We also had to do some cleaning before unpacking. Many other units have had better kitchens stocked.
But overall great for families. Seashore was very friendly & quick to send out a repairman.

Shorewood is a very nice complex, well maintained, excellent for a family, great pool and hot tub. Seashore Vacation Rentals is always excellent to work with.
Unit 207 has a good ocean view and the 3 bedroom, 3 bath layout is very convenient.
The unit itself however is tired, old and the carpet and some upholstery is beyond help even with a deep cleaning. The kitchen and 3 bathrooms have not been updated since original construction. The following 5's have all been given to Shorewood as a property; if the questions were asked about Unit 107 the answers would have been 3's.

Three couples had a very nice Hilton Head experience. Location is great. Shorewood facilities were very nice. Unit would be great if it was updated. Looks like there has not been any updates since the 90's.

Really enjoyed this villa. Corner direct oceanfront view we could see ocean and even partial sunsets. Fully equipped and very clean. Shorewood offers large pool a beautiful beach and is a close walking distance to everything

We really enjoyed our stay. During a busy Spring Break time, the pool was not too busy, even with the ocean cold. The unit was quite comfortable - beds were good, rooms were spacious. The kitchen is in bad need of an upgrade but everything was in working order. I would definitely recommend the Shorewood.

However we spent almost half a week without a patio door. And the farthest shower got very little hot water.

Good check in directions,easy parking. Lovely views, comfortable furniture, nicely decorated. The pool is great for young and old. Short walk thru the dunes to the beach. I would highly recommend.
A few small suggestions...bathtub drains are very sluggish. A/C vents -ESP in the kitchen need good cleaning.

The property location was perfect. We fully enjoyed our week long stay. Plan to rent bikes as there are lots of bike paths on the island and this makes travel very convenient. The pool and grounds were in good shape. The rental space was comfortable; it could use some updates in the kitchen, living room furniture, and carpet.

If you love a beach view along with a great pool, steps away to the beach, nearby shops and restaurants, then this is a great place to stay!! Shorewood"s location is a great place to stay in Hilton Head. However, this condo is dated and could use some kitchen and bath updates as well as new carpeting or maybe hardwood floors. Kitchen bulkheads were dirty with peeling wallpaper. We requested that they come in and clean bulkheads! Bedding was comfortable. Overall we would return to this condo - but would appreciate some updates and kitchen cleaning.
