Shorewood 202

Always enjoy this unit at Shorewood for our annual trip to HHI. Great location within walking distance of Coligny shops and restaurants without the noise and crowds of the public beach.

This was our third stay at Shorewood and our first time in 202. Shorewood is in a fantastic location and has a wonderful pool and hot tub. Unit 202 is badly in need of upgrades and repairs. The living room furniture is not as pictured and is ridiculously uncomfortable. The dining room chairs look and feel like they were bought at a flea market. The king mattress must be replaced, it is so lumpy. Nothing that was pointed out in earlier reviews has been addressed. When I emailed Seashore Vacations about the negative reviews from other guests, I never received a reply. We will return to Shorewood, not to this unit.

Unit 202 is in a great location—right next to the pool and within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. However, the furniture badly needs an upgrade. The sofa and chairs are not the ones shown in the listing, and there is currently only one sofa. The living area furniture that is there is extremely uncomfortable, and the guest-room dresser has broken, unusable drawers.

There are also several maintenance issues: missing doorstops, doors with water damage, a clogged shower drain (promptly fixed by management), and bathroom outlets that didn’t work. We also had to call housekeeping to have the floors swept. The kitchen appears updated and was well‐equipped.

Most of the concerns mentioned in earlier reviews still haven’t been addressed. With some basic TLC, this could be an excellent unit.

Condo had a beautiful view of the ocean and was very close to the beach. Condo grounds were beautiful with a nice pool, hot tub, and even a kiddie pool.
Condo itself was generally clean although it needs a little TLC. A drawer handle in second bathroom broken and paint chipping at the bottom of bathroom door. Picture of unit was not accurate as there is now only one couch instead of two and not very comfortable. Shades are not light blocking so if you need a dark room to sleep in, you will struggle.
Just things to consider when selecting a unit.

Perfect location, love the ocean views. Outside areas are well kept and clean. However, inside of unit was very disappointing. Furniture is old, worn, and there was not one comfortable place to sit. Hardware was missing from cabinets, switch plates cracked, mold in washer and dishwasher full of rust. The doors were all water damaged and coming apart. Sadly, the king size bed was horribly uncomfortable. I hope the owner realizes what terrible condition the unit is in. Balcony was even filthy and worn.

The Shorewood property was accommodating, welcoming and well kept. The pool area, private beach access and overall location were phenomenal! Our family will certainly look to stay in a Shorewood unit in future visits to HHI though we may not choose Unit 202. This unit needs some attention to get it on par with the balance of the Shorewood property. Preview shows two couches in the living, but there was only one upon our arrival. In fact, none of the furniture shown of the primary sitting area was actually in the unit. The (one) couch and two chairs had stains on nearly every cushion and in need of replacement. Additionally, it didn't seem the bathrooms nor kitchen were completely remodeled as advertised. Kitchen stocked with bare minimums; coffee maker, a couple pots/pans, silverware, not much else. Nice full size refrigerator and washer/dryer. In closing, the views of the ocean, private beach access and pool did not disappoint. We enjoyed our stay overall, but were underwhelmed with the details of Unit 202.

I was pleased with the Condo. It was clean, but could be better if there were a few adjustments made. Furniture needs to be rearranged so that you can sit and enjoy the fabulous view. Pictures of the Condo showed two sofas with one facing the ocean. There was only one sofa. Also the braided sisal rug looks great but need a pad underneath it to keep it in place.. it is a major tripping hazard as is. The kitchen has top of the line appliances, but the rest of the kitchen was so disorganized it was difficult to find anything, Faucet in the sink is broken but usable. Shower head in master need to be replaced with a combination hand held and stationery. I figured I was the end of the season and little things would be tweaked soon. So, all in all it was great and I will definitely be back.

Shorewood is a nice property. The heated pool is a nice amenity. The staff of Seashore Vacations are THE BEST. The property was clean and well stocked on our arrival. The only issue with the condo is it looks like the owners furnished the unit from a Habitat Store. Furniture was well worn. In fact, the dresser in one of the bedrooms was falling apart. Nice view, nice kitchen, decent bedding but upgrade your furniture

I wanted to offer some feedback after our recent stay at Shorewood 202 over Labor Day.

First, I’d like to say that the location is absolutely perfect, and the condo is well-stocked, even including a wine cooler, which we appreciated. Overall, we had a great stay.

However, there were a few areas of concern that I’d like to bring to your attention:

- The air vents appear to have a buildup of dust, particularly the return vent behind the hallway door.
- The balcony could use a good pressure washing as there were noticeable black spots.
- The beds really need some attention, including the quality of the pillows. For us, this was the biggest disappointment.
- Additionally, the exhaust fan in the guest bathroom is quite loud and disruptive, almost sounding like a screaming goat.

We loved many aspects of our stay, but these areas definitely impacted our experience. I hope this feedback is helpful for future guests.

This is our fourth time staying at a Shorewood condo and we love the layout and amenities of each of the properties. This particular condo was well stocked with everything that we needed.
We felt that this condo was not as clean as the others and overall could use to be freshened up with painting every room. Mold is starting to build on the ceiling above the shower in the master bathroom and should be addressed very soon before it worsens.

We had another fantastic stay on HHI. This year we stayed at Shorewood 202 for first time and we had a wonderful stay. The view is amazing and we really enjoyed eating lunch on the balcony.The kitchen and appliances are great. Seashore vacations once again was great to work with, we have stayed at Shorewood and have booked through Seashore vacations many times and they are always easy to work with. We plan on returning next year!

Beautiful view and nice kitchen. Living room furniture was uncomfortable and dirty. Patio table was too big and heavy. Master bedroom bed was so lumpy you could barely sleep. Pillows and blankets dirty,we went out and bought our own. Second bedroom same way and tv didn’t work because there was no cable box. Would never rent from this owner again and told the realtor that.

The location of the condo, the view and the property management was excellent. I would stay at this location again, just not this condo.
The condo itself needed updated, painted, cleaned. All of the furniture was worn and dirty. All of the beds need new mattresses.

We stayed at Shorewood 202 The week of June 17th. The room was very clean with a beautiful view of the beach and the pool. Our kids love their pool. The walk to the beach is easy and it’s a quick walk/bike ride to coligany and all the shops and places to eat. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

Very much enjoyed a relaxing week at Shorewood condo. Parked our car and walked to nearby restaurants and shops. Strolled the wide beach and spent time at the pool.
Rental office responded very quickly to our requests at move in. Only suggestion to owner is better silverware. We only found 3 forks!
As older adults, we found the outdoor chairs difficult to get into. Such is life!

Shorewood Villas has to be one of the very best locations on HHI. Right on the beach! Beautiful pool and hot tub. Grounds are absolutely beautiful and very well maintained.
Unit #202 has many much needed upgrades and maintenance issues. There were 14 dinner knives but only 4 forks & 4 spoons. There were 18 dinner plates. Torn and stained blanket on the king bed. Sofa was like sitting in a bowl of Jell-O. Light fixtures hanging loose from the ceiling. Heat/AC vents rusted and loose from the wall. Musty smell as you walked in. Outside balcony & furniture stained with wax on the table. Kitchen table rocks. Bottom of the bathroom doors have water damage. However, the appliances are great as is the ice maker. The view is the saving grace of this unit. Shops and restaurants (try the Sandbar) within walking distance. Would certainly stay at Shorewood and will use Seashore Vacations but would never stay in #202.

We have stayed in many rentals in Shorewood and Ocean One in South Forest Beach! The location is ideal! The view from our window of the ocean was beautiful! We saw many colorful sunrises from our balcony! I wish the owners of this condo would spend a night or two in their condo to identify small fixes that would improve this rental to spectacular!

Nice location, ocean front view, easy access to pool and beach. Condo was roomy and nice. Kitchen was well equipped. Walk in shower was nice. King size bed needs a new mattress and paint touch-ups. For the price it should be in better condition. We have stayed in other condos at Shorewood that were better maintained.

Pros: The location is perfect. The pool was great & the kids had a blast every day. We had some concerns with the condo, and the rental company was very responsive & helpful.
Cons: The condo needs some repairs & a deep cleaning. None of the beds are in good shape. The headboards are very loose & make a ton of noise. There was no getting out of bed & not disturbing each other even after the rental company tried to help.
The kitchen utensils/cookware are old & many are rusty. The cabinets/drawers had dirt/residue in the them and could really use at least linens. The doors to the bathrooms have water damage at the bottom. The master shower leaks water in the floor. The air vents are in bad shape. The dresser in the 2nd bedroom is hard to use/broken drawer. The closets were unorganized - pillows just thrown on the floor, stuff falling out when you open the doors. The kitchen cabinets have dust caked on the tops where they have not been cleaned. The sheets on all the beds are cheap, stiff, and uncomfortable. The patio area was not even swept & the cushions are all dirty. The condo never felt welcoming...
We stay in houses/condos every summer. We have always had a good experience with owners leaving personal touches to make you feel welcomed.
This rental could use lots of organization. For example, all cabinets in the kitchen were full. There wasn't even one we could use. The rental company did come in and reorganize so we had some space. But there wasn't even a muffin tin, so it's not like it is filled with usable items. It is just odd.
Overall, if you are ok with mediocre accommodations, you will love to view, location, and pool. I also appreciated the rental companies attempt to help and even bringing disposables we could use.

We have stayed in Shorewood on many occasions while vacationing in HHI. It is our favorite location. This condo is pretty and has recently been updated. Paint and doors have been replaced. My only concern is that the condo could have been cleaner. It was dusty as well as the cabinet, door and refrigerator handles need to be sanitized. Also, the temperatures for the refrigerator and freezer had been increased to 54 degrees and 42 degrees. We did not realize it until we had placed our food in the fridge and freezer and realized items were not getting cold. The milk spoiled and we were concerned about eating some items. If this is a common practice and then this should be disclosed to renters.

The living room furniture is in dire need of updating due to extreme wear.The balcony offers a great view but roof is deteriorating and the table and stools eeed replaced. We love this condo. The location is great if you want to be able to walk to the beach as well as coffee shops, ice cream, & restaurants. There is a new sidewalk that makes it easy to bike or walk. The pool is clean and large. The condo is comfortable and well-kept. Our favorite part is the balcony overlooking the ocean- perfect spot to have coffee or a meal.

Check in and check out was super convenient with the app. The room was very clean, and plenty of cookware was available for making dinner for a night or two. Only complaint I can think of is that the bed was terrible. You could literally feel every spring, and it was extremely uncomfortable, if the owners dropped $600 on a new mattress it would totally transform the sleeping experience! Having a balcony on the Ocean is super amazing, and the view was wonderful!

This is a beautiful condo with a gorgeous view, convenient location. It was clean, attractively decorated and well maintained. We just used the master bedroom which had a comfortable king size bed. The kitchen was well equipped. The staff was very responsive to any requests. It was too cold for the pool but we made good use of the jacuzzi.

We have stayed at the Shorewood for several years. Unit 202 has made some pleasant and well needed updates. However there are a few housekeeping areas that need attention. The guest room bath/shower doesn't drain well and needs unclogged. The walk in shower leaks right where the shower door opens. Needed to put a bath towel in front to soak up the water. Also needed housekeeping to come in and remove mildew from the tile. Property management works quickly to resolve any problems.

This is a very nice property. Fabulous views, pool, jacuzzi etc. This is a small unit probably best to not try to put too many oeoplw in it. The owners are very thoughtful leaving many items for renter use and a notebook with a lot of helpful information. Be careful with the door lock. I thought I was setting a night lock when I was actually overriding and disabiling the lock feature. Great if you are coming in and out a lot when arriving or leaving but be sure its locked at other timea. Very nice clean unit. Would rent again. Blessings to you all.

This condo was perfect for our fall getaway. Since we have 2 young children, it was really nice to be oceanfront with great views so we could enjoy the ocean while the kids were napping! It's a beautiful space. Our only complaints were that the pool was closed for maintenance during our stay which was disappointing (it is beautiful!), and we couldn't get the master bedroom tv to work (maybe a user error. no big deal though). We did enjoy the hot tub though. The highlight for my toddler was the little goldfish pond on the main level. This location was an easy walk to Coligny Plaza and all the bike trails. Super easy to bike or walk to breakfast, coffee, etc. It was very clean, and our check in was a breeze. Would definitely return to this spot.

Overall it was a very nice stay. The condo location and the view from the deck and master are excellent. The condo is nicely appointed but the living room chairs could use to be re-upholstered or replaced. Some things I didn't like were the fact that the TV in bedroom 2 didn't have any cable. The remote for the TV in the master bedroom was missing batteries. The dishes didn't look so clean so we cleaned them before we used them. The bathroom fans were very noisy. The headboard for the bed in the master was loose and needed to be tightened as well.

Pros: The kitchen is great! Access to beach, pool, restaurants is excellent. Enjoyed our stay. Cons: The living room furniture needs replacing. Placed a sheet on sofa before sitting (it just didn't look clean). Cobwebs around window seals, notice mold beginning in bathroom shower, hair around outside shower. The outside patio was dirty, needs sweeping and pressure washed. The outside cushions and place mats need cleaning. Didn't sit outside because of dirt. We wanted to open the sliding doors (bedroom) to listen to the ocean at night but there was no way to lock the sliding screen. The place needs a thorough good cleaning and replacing furniture. This was our 2nd family reunion at this resort.

Our vacation was amazing except for our toddler was able to open the front door on her own and leave the 2nd floor and make it to the 3rd. My only suggestion to the property owner would be a deadbolt or chain lock from inside. Other than this the unit and complex was amazing and would definitely rent through Seashore Vacations and Shorewood..

We stayed here over the week of July 4th. We booked before the kitchen and baths were renovated so we were very happy with the upgrades for the price. Kitchen and baths are awesome as well as the balcony and quality of the table out there. Previous reviews complained about curtains which are now new. They have plenty of beach chairs and an umbrella or two if you want to conserve space in your car. Couch is fine, it's a beach rental after all. Very nicely decorated. We really enjoyed the condo and would rent again. Only advice is that with the kitchen Reno, you have trash cans built in so you may want to remove the stainless one to provide more room near the washer/dryer and pantry.

The condo was very nice with updatd kitchen and baths, and in a great location. .
Seashore was very easy to work with and responded quickly to a couple of minor issues.
The only real issue we had was people in a neighboring condo who smoked a lot on the patio and limited our ability to use ours.

Shorewood - This is a great property! Our unit #202 is well maintained and my husband and I enjoyed staying there. It is very convenient to shops, grocery stores and restaurants. Excellent pool and beach access. Plan to come back during Thanksgiving Holiday. Oh and when you go, visit Kenny B's if you like low country, New Orleans style food. Less than five minutes away.

We really love the location of this condo and the ocean views are great! The condo also has a lot of amenities for the renters to use (i.e. fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs, umbrella, etc.). However, the furniture in the living room, carpet and curtains could definitely use some updating.

It was good. I was disappointed in the window in the bedroom (the right slider window) because it was fogged up between the glass (needed to be replaced) and the handle was completely broken. I got the ocean front condo to look at the ocean but I couldn't see it from the master bed. The unit was clean and the kitchen was well appointed and the washer/dryer was great. Location was great, right on the beach.

We were very pleased with the condo unit 202 Shorewood. The view was everything they said it would be. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen/bathrooms were very clean. All of the amenities of home were included. I really liked having the dolleys available to carry our belongings from our car to the unit. The pool and Jacuzzi were very nice. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. The restaurants in the area were excellent. The traffic was heavier than we expected, so we didn't use our bicycles as much. Wished we could have ridden our bikes to the South Beach area or the lighthouse. The beach was so nice, that's where we chose to stay the majority of our stay.

Perfect view, wanted to eat every meal on the patio. Perfect location, nothing like walking on the beach to go to breakfast every morning. Walking distance to shopping and dinner restaurants also. Equipped with everything you need for a week(DVD player did not work). This unit was everything I expected and hope to return someday, was a very memorable vacation.

We stayed four nights at this great condo and it just wasn't long enough! Shorewood is the perfect location and unit 202 was a great location with in the complex. The second floor view was beautiful while not having to use the elevator or climb a lot of stairs. We were very happy with the condo itself. The kitchen is beautifully updated and well stocked. While the rest of the unit could use a little bit of updating and freshening up, it was clean and it wouldn't stop me from renting here again. My only complaint was that we didn't have more time!

Sandy did not bother us.Interesting golf clubs and we found 3 good restaurants. Access to the beach was perfect.We had a very secured bike ride up to Harbour Town.The pool at Shorewood was perfect with heated water.The appartment was well built with nice decoration. We hear a few time people upstairs walking but it was not major.We will return most probably in the fall.

The location is great with easy access to the beach and pool. The kitchen has been upgraded and is beautiful and well appointed, but the rest of the unit needs some work. There is a lot of "stuff" in the rooms, especially the closet in the second bedroom which can not be used, the doors are bulging out because of all the beach equipment stored in it, useable or not, needs purging. Bathrooms could use an upgrade as well.
