Shorewood 103

We stayed in Shorewood 103.
We have stayed at Shorewood for over 12 years.
We love Shorewood.
The location is excellent. The view is awesome. We love it all.

I would say that Unit #103 does need some attention. Nothing major but there were a few areas that I feel were not up to Seashore Vacation quality.

The property was in really good condition, and in a great location. Pool area is nice, and it is very close to the ocean. We plan on staying at this location again.

Place was dirty. Not dirty like it wasn’t cleaned, but dirty from years of apathy. Kitchen had the most random assortment of items (clearly just picked up from goodwill), dryer was so small and not powerful that it barely dried clothes. Toilets wouldn’t flush properly (had to flush 2x3 times just for it to run sometimes. I have stayed in probably 10 different properties at shorewood and all of the others have been cared for and taken care of. 1st floor location is great though. Overall terrible value for the price paid.

Great location, great complex. Bed was comfortable. Second time in this unit. Could use a few updates. Biggest complaint would be the coil top stove and the lack of a decent frying pan. I like my eggs in the morning. haha

We have stayed at Shorewood for several years. Beautiful beach views and access. Some condos could use updates but we understand they are costly. We love Hilton Head and Shorewood.

The unit 103 is in need of update. Heavy musty mold smell all week. Cabinet doors falling off in kitchen and bathrooms. Master bed is so noisy when you move it wakes you up. Unit was clean. Property grounds and pool very well managed.
I would expect for total of around $ 400.00 per night a higher quality unit.
Should have listened to previous reviews.
I would recommend this property but not unit 103.

We have stayed at a few Shorewood units, and this has been one of our favorites. We enjoy the ease of access of the ground floor unit with smaller kids. You can somewhat hear the unit above you (chairs moving, walking), but that's expected and it did not bother us. The living areas were comfortable, and the patio with steps down to the grass were great for an evening drink and lawn games. The Shorewood property itself continues to be our favorite as well. The pool was never overcrowded and we could always find a nice spot on the beach right near the access boardwalk. Seashore Vacations is the best rental company we have worked with in Hilton Head and we highly recommend renting from them. We look forward to our next trip!

We have stayed at different units at Shorewood many times over the years and have never been disappointed. Unit 103 was perfect for us, well laid out with exactly the kitchen items we needed. Some small things may need to be updated but people should treat the property as their own and take care of it .

There was one small issue with one of the TVs (probably user error) and Seashore Vacations helped me and it was quickly resolved. Their staff was amazing!

The best thing about the condo was the location on the first floor-to be able to walk right out the back door and easily get to the beach or the pool. We really liked the easy access. The condo itself, however, is extremely dated. It didn’t feel clean when we walked in... There was some sand on the floor and just the look of everything was so dated that it felt a little bit dirty. The recliner was broken, the dryer didn’t work so we were not able to use it all week, and the air conditioning was broken the first day that we got there, so we had to wait up until almost midnight for a technician to fix it. It did get fixed, and that made a huge difference for the rest of the stay. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and really need to be replaced. Will be needing a chiropractor visit ASAP.

As frustrating as it was to deal with the air conditioning, a broken dryer, etc., The management company did what they could to help make things right. They were very responsive, got a repair person out three times to check on it even though the repairs didn’t work and the dryer simply needed replaced.

We like the property and the location and will likely return, although we will definitely pick another condo.

Another great vacation at Shorewood, our favorite condos on HH. 103 was a nice condo close to pool and ocean. Could use an upgrade, but comfortable and at the right location.

OVERALL - This rental unit needs some love. I feel like I kept looking for something to feel good about within the unit itself, but failed (moldy shower curtain liner, cook/bakeware cheap and past end of life, outlets loose at the wall). Besides the "guest bathroom" walk-in shower update, the whole unit felt like a cheap flip including the furniture. I ended up getting sick with a stomach bug that lasted the whole week my family was there and I could find little comfort inside the unit. The beds were rock hard. The couch was uncomfortable. Unit was not well cleaned prior to our arrival - cobwebs with a large bug on a wall, visible cobwebs in corners of rooms, etc. While we have no issue with Seashore Vacations and found them to be very professional and helpful, I'd definitely look into other units at this same location if you are looking for something nicer or more comfortable, but want to be close enough to the action. If we come back to the Hilton Head area, we would definitely check to see if this unit had any updates done (especially bed/couch updates) before we searched elsewhere.

*I did find this property to be the perfect distance from the circle - far enough to not have the public beach music to be an issue or feel crowded. You could see the crowd down the beach, but you weren't really in it yourself.*

We stayed in Shorewood 103 during the week of April 17th and enjoyed the comfortable accommodations in a great location. While an easy walk to Coligny and all the amenities in Forest Beach, Shorewood 103 provided a quiet and relaxing getaway from the hustle-bustle vacation activities. Although on the 1st floor, Shorewood 103 has a lovely view of the natural dunes and the ocean just beyond.

loved the swimming pool and location of condo..unit needs a thorough spring cleaning...dust on walls...crumbs in kitchen cabinets..I rewatched dishes we would be using and left them on counter..needs updates in bathroom..new twin mattress...clean the dead bug out of picture frame above tv...would rent there again but different unit...

Shorewood as a whole is a wonderful property with a great location. It was very nice to be able to walk out the back door straight to the beach. On the other hand, the condo was no where near as nice as the rest of the property. The condo was clean but everything needed updating and some love. It reminded me of a cheap condo you would rent in Panama City for spring break.

Loved our stay at Shorewood 2022. We have stayed here several times in the past with our boys and now with boys snd their families. Love the closeness to the beach and pool and to Coligney! Have stayed “fancier” resorts but love Shorewood! The condo could use some updates eg new king mattress and walk in showers. But the oceanfront location trumped those deficiencies

Easy, effortless condo with no fuss or muss. Walk out of the patio and just two units down from the path to the beach but far enough away you don’t hear the people at the pool. No messing with steps or elevator. The property had everything you would need and was clean.

The shower heads need to be changed out because there are 5 streams of water and you need to choose one to stand under. The master bed is very very firm so if that’s not your thing, plan for it.

Beautiful property, pool was clean and uncrowded and close enough to bike or walk to the shops or evening ice cream with no effort.

We had a wonderful time! Pool was great and clean. Close walk to the beach as well.
We stayed in 103, which was a perfect location to pool and beach, a little outdated, but it didn't bother us any.
We will definitely stay here again.

Lovely location, great beach for biking and walking, great end of HHI. The condo was adequate and a last minute rental for us. The patio was great and overlooking the dunes and the ocean directly, but the interior, although clean, was very dated.

We always enjoy Shorewood it’s our fifth stay over past summers.
The only very unpleasant experience this time was all the hammering Tuesday night and all day Wednesday.I understand that maintenance is unavoidable at times However if it is so much you cut your vacation by 3 days ....

I couldn't have asked for a better location! I wasn't expecting to be able to see the ocean from the forest for but I could. It was very nice being able to go right off the balcony to the grassy area in the front. This was also a very quick easy walk to Coligny Plaza.
There were some things inside that could use some attention like the faucet on the kitchen and the bathroom doors but this was overall a great rental and I would definitely stay here again. Luckily we had great weather so it wasn't a big deal but a TV in the second bedroom would be a great addition.

it's a great location - easy access to the beach, close to Coligny and other great restaurants. Our condo could have been cleaner but was very spacious and all appliaces and TV's worked well.

The villa is the perfect location. Literally steps from the pool and the beach. It could not have been easier. It was also an easy walk to Coligny for dinner and shopping. The only complaint would be the bed in the Master bedroom. It was so uncomfortable we would likely not book this unit again because of it & instead book another unit that is close to the beach and pool. Hopefully if the bed is replaced it will be noted in the listing.

unit is in need of update. bedspread in master bedroom was a little scary so left off entire vaca. realize there are bugs this time of year but treatment is needed. however it was an enjoyable stay.

Love the location and property grounds and pool area but the condo we rented did not meet expectation and I've stayed at Shorewood in various condos in the past. The rooms and furniture was not maintained and outdated. Beds were uncomfortable. Problems with the AC unit, dryer, and one toilet. Would not rent condo 103 again.

I am a single mom with two kids (11 & 14). We had a great stay! Condo was more than big enough for the three of use, we had everything we needed in the condo for a comfortable stay, and it was a skip to the beach or pool....We were just a short distance from Coligny Plaza and other shopping/dinner spots. We biked everywhere. Couldn't see the ocean from our unit as we were at ground level and could only see the greenery, but we could hear the ocean and feel the breeze. My kids really liked that the pool was open late every evening for them to enjoy after the sun went down. Condo was clean and everything was operational. Plenty of starter supplies on hand and I liked that the unit was all tile/laminate.

This is our fifth stay at the Shorewood complex. We have booked all our stays through Seashore Vacations. The overall property was very nice. Our apartment was nice, clean, but a little dated. A negative was the construction going on in the adjacent apartment. Last, we could not connect to the complimentary WiFi.

The unit was clean and had been updated in most areas. The location was very good and we had easy access to the beach and pool. I would have liked a walk-in shower instead of a tub. I would return to the condos but would proably go to another unit with a few more amenities that better suited our needs

Our family loves to go to Hilton Head Island for vacation. It is our number one beach! It is beautiful there and always well maintained. The flowers, shrubs, and flowering trees are breathtaking. It is low key, meaning quite and serene, and no younger generation there causing trouble or being loud like at other beaches. Our room was perfect for our health needs, clean, and was beautifully decorated. We could go out the front door and our car was there. If we chose the back doors, the ocean was in front of us and we could walk to the beach or go to the newly renovated pool. We could not have ask for a more perfect location, room, and assistance from our booking agent for Shorewood. To add icing on the cake the weather was a plus----perfect! There are plenty of restaurants there to meet each and everyone's cravings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shorewood. Can you tell? Can't wait to go back!!!!
