The location of this house was perfect for us, and overall it was a good experience. However, the house has needed some TLC for awhile now.

We loved our stay, the location and having our own pool. The layout of the house was perfect and the skylights were amazing!! However, there were a few issues with cleanliness. There was mold on the shower handles and the toilet in one of the bathrooms looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. The shower doors did not close all the way, causing water to get on the floor. The decking by the pool had some warped boards sticking up. It’s a great property, but definitely needs some upgrades.

Location is great, close to the beach, Harbour town, restaurants. The property is dated, pool deck is in desperate need of repair. Pool is not heated which would have been nice.

When we arrived, the house was filthy. The carpets had not been vacuumed, there was a layer of dust over everything, and the vents were caked in grime and dust. We used a wet rag to wipe off the kitchen table and it looked like mud. The walls are covered in handprints and other markings. The floors and doorways are uneven due to house settling or poor construction. The pool was not clean when we arrived. The trash was never picked up. The owners do not appear to care about this rental.

Our family enjoyed the stay at this beautiful home in Sea Pines, and we truly could not have asked for a better experience. The house was exactly what we needed for a relaxing and memorable vacation. It was spacious and thoughtfully equipped with everything we could have needed during our stay.

One of the biggest highlights was the private pool; it quickly became everyone’s favorite spot! We spent hours swimming, lounging, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. From start to finish, our stay was amazing. Thank you for graciously welcoming us into your beautiful home. We absolutely loved our stay!

The home is in a good location and has plenty of room. It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach, and is close to Harbor Town and other popular places. While the home is clean, it does need some TLC. There were some doors that didn't close properly and other maintenance issues related to being an older house.

Also, while the kitchen had plenty of dishes, there was absolutely nothing in the way of cooking supplies, not even salt or aluminum foil. Of all the rentals I have stayed in, I have never seen a more empty pantry. I know the owners aren't necessarily obligated to provide those things, but it would have made the stay more enjoyable if there were at lease some coffee to brew on the first morning.

If you are willing to put up with some quirks it's a decent place for families.

Our family enjoyed our stay despite the torrential downpour at times. Were appreciative we had space to move about in the house. There are some improvements and updates needed to the house, dusty air vents, old/damaged utensils, soft spots in flooring just to name a few. Overall, good stay. It should be noted or better promoted the home came with 4 bikes for guests use. We used our beach gear credit for bike rentals Doh!

This place is incredibly outdated and neglected in so many ways. It’s clear the owner is only interested in collecting money and investing as little as possible to improve the property. The deck is in bad shape and had screws sticking out in numerous places which isn’t the greatest feeling on bare feet. Tons of mold on windows and deck. No real grill or bbq available to be able to cook a bbq for 6-8 people. The bathrooms are straight out of the 70s. The kitchen is decent but it feels like everything in the drawers and cupboards were collected at a series of garage sales I’d rather stay in a hotel than spend this kind of money for absolute mediocrity.

We have stayed here for the last 3 years and absolutely love everything about the house! The layout, the amenities, the bikes that come with it! The only thing i would say about this years visit is that some work needs done to the house...there are several weak spots in the flooring, the deck around the pool has several loose boards and a fall,trip or stubbed toe is likely to happen...Also several spots in the pool that need fixed--that's likely an off season fix since it would take draining the pool i think! But nothing terrible and none of that affected our stay!

From the last time 2 years ago the house now needs repairs esp the pool my daughter hurt her foot badly on the bottom of the pool bc it’s falling apart. The pool and deck need immediate attention to repairs as well as the floor by the washer and dryer someone will end up falling through the floor bc it’s so worn and dangerous . We had a great time. Hoping the owners will do the necessary work on this house before it gets worse

The process to rent this property was easy and smooth. The home was clean, in a great location and extremely comfortable. We chose this property due to the safe and functional lay out for our family, including our older parents. We had a great time. It was our second time staying at this property and again, were not disappointed. Also, the king size mattresses are the best we've ever slept on in all our traveling. Thanks again for a great trip to the beach

Nice, had my wife and I, along with son, his wife and 3 small children.
House is large, great place to feel at home. Pool is nice, we didn’t use, too cold.

Could use some updating of things in kitchen, like coffee cups, glasses, etc.

Nice neighborhood, not very close to anything, but convenient to all in Sea Pines.

House was perfect for the 5 of us. Nice and close to HarborTown and shops. Lots of great bike trails. Nice and close to the Cross Island Parkway with easy access to other golf locations off the island. House was in very good condition with any ammenities that we needed Seashore Vacations was very good to deal with

We stayed at 8 Old Military in Sea Pines. The 4 BR ranch home with pool was excellent. Very clean and everything worked as expected. We would highly recommend this property.

Our time in HHI was great. Everything we saw through the website was there. The pool was the right size for the kids. We were an easy 10 minute bike ride from the beach which it turns out was not overly crowded. The distance was also close enough to take a nice evening walk if we chose. We only ate out a couple of times, benefits of a full kitchen. The Coast restaurant at the beach club was very good and provided an outstanding view of the ocean.

We enjoyed our time at the property and felt the description adequately described the home. The location is very convenient and central to everything we enjoyed such as golf, walking, biking, Harbor Town, beaches and restaurants. The home was clean and well maintained and the pool was also cleaned during our stay which was a plus.

The property management company was very helpful and extremely customer service oriented.

We would definitely recommend the property and would consider a return stay.

The house was in a quiet section of Sea Pines, enjoyed the pool. Saw 4 deer by back door the morning we left. Enjoyed biking, lazing by the pool reading. Just a very relaxing week with family members.

This was the second year we stayed in this nice house...great for us four golfers...everything works well....I did bring my own Keurig coffee maker since the one in the kitchen is too small for our usage....only things I would add to the home are larger coffee mugs and some plastic wine glasses for outdoor/pool use and safety

This home is great. Lots of room, very spacious. You don’t feel like your piled on top of each other like you do is some rentals. The back deck with the private pool is awesome. The home comes with bikes. Large tv was nice. I give this place a 10.

Aside from the fact that it rained the majority of the time we were here, the house was wonderful other than a few minor issues. Very comfortable, clean and plenty of room for a party of 7. We enjoyed the pool as much as we could between rain and clouds. There is a lot of tree coverage that keeps the pool from getting much sun when the sun is out, and for sunlovers such as myself.....I would have like more. I would highly recommend this location and home to future vacationers and would consider this home again for our future vacations.

GREAT ! Everyone had a place of their own. Each family had their own bathroom. Fun things to do on Hilton Head Island. Lovely house. The kids loved the pool.

8 Old Military is in a perfect location for us, centrally located in Sea Pines between Harbor Town and South beach marina, and not far from the beach. Lots of space for a family of 6. Loved the pool. This was our second time to stay here and would definitely come back.

The home was very clean! Loved the pool and all of the places you could eat with! 2 Tables & stools in the kitchen and you could eat outside as well. Close bike ride to beach. Very cozy home feeling.

Home was a little dated, which we knew, but was clean, large and comfortable. The pool was wonderful. Would definitely return. The rental agency, Seashore Vacations, was fantastic. We left some prescription medications in the house when we left, called Seashore and they went out that day, gathered up the stuff we forgot and overnighted it to us. Also, they were very prompt to repair a leaking toilet.
