Ocean One 511

We enjoyed the condo location. 511 was nice and clean with new bedding. The pillows were all new and too firm (over stuffed). The only issue I had with 511, is that it is the top floor. The way this condominium is built the 5th floor balconies do not have cover over them. So only enjoyable time to sit out there was either early in the morning or late afternoons. Anytime between you would have baked. My husband was very disappointed because that part of the beach vacation he enjoys is sitting out on the balcony all day. I would stay at Oceans One again but not stay in a 5th floor unit.

When we arrived we had plumbing issues in both bathrooms. The screen door leading to the patio had been ripped. Two cushions were missing from the patio chairs. The recliner was very dirty. We had a swarm of bees outside our entrance door and a beekeeper had to come. There was a fire alarm at approximately 3:00am one morning and the fire department was dispatched.

Our only complaint about the unit was the lack of hot water . The water was lukewarm at best and very disappointing to not be able to take a hot shower any time of day .

Really enjoyed the Villa, its location, amenities and view are great. Been coming to HHI for many many years and this is one of the best areas to stay. Seashore Vacations does an excellent job and always there to assist.

What a great location and layout. Beds,liviving room furniture all nice. Bathrooms need some upgrading. Kitchen equipment was sparce. Basic startup supplies we not around Also the bar next door played their extremely loud and lousy music almost all day, it took
the beauty away from the patio.. I will definitely be back, but for a small investment this place could be over the top.

This condo was a perfect fit for a sisters' getaway. The view was amazing and the condo had everything we needed. We especially loved the location as we walked or rode our bikes to many restaurants and shops.

Enjoyed the location and view very much.
The unit itself needs improvement.
Towels and bedding are horrible.
Kitchen faucet is broken.
Nice two coffee machines offered, both were dirty.
Furniture is fine and comfortable.
Appreciated strong internet.
Also appreciated supply of cleaning items.

Ocean 1 is our favor place to vacation. Even though property is under reno, there was no problem parking and grounds were immaculate as always.
The unit had been somewhat renovated, painted,new appliances except for dishwasher, builder grade and in rough shape. The kitchen was sparsely stocked, in need of additional glassware, and
plates and silverware.
Our biggest complaint was the utility closet. He looks of it made you not want to turn on.A/C.
I would recommend this complex and unit, but would tell people what to expect

it was our 31st year at Ocean One. as u can tell of all the years spent at O1 we like it!!!!!..already reserved for our 32nd year.. 511 needs some updating but the VIEW is awesome!!! if u are coming to Hilton Head need to work with Seashore Vacations they are SUPER!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Ocean One 511. The view was amazing.
The apartment was spacious, but it was a little outdated and not so
Clean. With some updates this could be an amazing condo.
Also I loved that it was near Coligny Plaza.
We booked through Seashore Vacation and like always we are really satisfied with them. They are really helpful and professional. Highly recommended.

Perfect view of beach, just a few steps from Tiki Lounge. Unit needs painting and updating. Chairs on balcony were all broken. Seashore replaced them as soon as I notified them. Will continue to book through Seashore.

Dirty, not well maintained, fabric furniture in a beach apartment is poor taste, one of the blinds by the front door is a rolled up newspaper, dead bugs in closet where beach chairs are kept, everything is rusted, popcorn ceilings, no exhaust fans in bathrooms, the squeakiest beds on the planet, permanently stained toilets and bathtub, shower in the dark since both bathrooms have 0 light in shower areas, mold on shower curtain, beehive outside of master bedroom terrace. Wine opener is broken. Needs major updates, new terrace furniture, new furniture all around, recessed lighting, better blinds. Rust is also everywhere- in sinks, even the stove appliance. The fridge is great and so is the water pressure, but I wish I had stayed elsewhere.

Absolutely top notch view. Couldn't be better. However, the condo is in need of updating and mattress replacement. Pool is very nice with multiple gas grills off to the side should you wish to do your own cooking. A plus/minus thing is that it is within easy walking distance of Coligny but you do hear the live outdoor music when outside (whether that is a plus or minus depends on what you are looking for. Seashore Vacations made the arrangements/process easy.

Ocean One 511 was in an excellent location with access to a pool, the beach, a park, many restaurants and an outstanding bike path. The unit was clean and relatively well stocked with all supplies we needed. The only complaint I would have is that the beds were very squeaky. They were comfortable, but every time someone rolled over you could hear them. The management company was excellent and easy to work with. Late arrival was no problem and everything was exactly as advertised. Overall a great experience that I would highly recommend!

We took a family vacation with my daughter, fiance' and 3 babies - 2 and under to visit her twin sister. The place was perfect, clean and very convenient to walk pretty much everywhere, including the beach and tiki bar which were literally steps away.

The condo’s location is nice. However, the condo itself needs a thorough cleaning. The carpet was filthy and the furniture upholstery reeked of body odor. The mattresses were very uncomfortable, the kitchen was minimally stocked. The place needs a facelift. Have stayed in other condos on HHI (specifically Shorewood) and this one is a big disappointment.

We’ve been coming here for many years and love Ocean One. It was a bit disappointing that our refrigerator wasn’t working and we had to throw out all of our food twice. We didn’t have a refrigerator all week, which cost even more since we had to eat out every night.

Love the location and the rental facing the beach was exactly what I wanted. Everything inside worked well and was well kept. Bring extra clothes cause staying longer might just happen with a morning view like that!

THIS WAS A BEAUTIFUL CONDO, ESPECIALLY WITH THE OCEAN VIEW.
I DO THINK FOR THE COST AND THE BEAUTY OF THE CONDO IT COULD HAVE BEEN CLEANER. FOR EXAMPLE THE PATIO DOOR COULD HAVE BEEN CLEANER AS WELL AS THE TRASH CANS AND THE OPENING FOR THE. TRASH CANS. IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE MORE TOWELS PROVIDED. ALSO THE BLIND ON THE FRONT WINDOW WASN’T WORKING, BUT WE LIKED EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT IT. THE CHAISE LOUNGE CHAIRS YOU PROVIDED WERE GREAT ON THE PATIO!!!!!!
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ANYONE, BUT NOT THE WEEK OF THE 4TH. PARKING WAS A PROBLEM.
THE PUBLIC BEACH WAS GREAT IT WAS GOOD THAT THEY PROVIDED EXTRA MATS ALL THE WAY TO THE WATER. WE ARE GETTING
OLDER BUT IT IS HARDER TO WALK IN THE DEEP SAND. THE MAIN REASON I COME IS FOR THE OCEAN NOT THE POOL.

Overall the experience was good. Beautiful view from fifth floor. Pool issues for two days of my stay. Rooms needs some minor repairs that comes with age and use. Very crowded and hated to lose good parking place so did not leave the complex but 2 times. I will come again but not in July.

The condo was great. The only drawback was the outside hotel bar that played music (live) afternoon and evening. You could not leave the patio doors open to enjoy the sound of the surf.

We found our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. The place is beautifully decorated. There was nothing we needed that wasn't there. We are cousins who go on a cousins trip each year. This as my year to plan trip. And I love Hilton Head and This was perfect. Everyone loved it . It is close to beach,shopping and restaurants. We had a very enjoyable time and staying at 511 was wonderful.

Very good experience except for the sporadic elevator operation being out of service. usually both at the same time. Bad if on 5th floor Would question this before making a reservation next year. Full time residents said this has been a continual problem this year.

Our family has stayed at Ocean One yearly for approximately 20 years. We have found it to be a very convenient location close to Coligny Plaza, the Tiki Hut, and right on the beach. The rooms have always been clean upon arrival and the personal have always been pleasant and helpful. I would recommend it to anyone.

As in the past the property is perfectly located on the beach next door to the Tiki Hut bar and almost across the street from the Coligny Shopping Center. The condo was comfortable, the furnishings were so so, but clean. We will be back next year but probably a different unit.

Condo is a super location. Literally steps away from beach in one direction and restaurants in another. Quiet. Beds are comfortable. Condo itself needs work and updating. However this is on top floor and you can sunbathe on the deck!

This place was spectacular. Best place we have stayed at so far (we have been coming to Hilton Head for 8 years). Very clean aside from some gunk in the master bathroom sink. A picture fell off the wall in the middle of the night, gave us quite a scare..might be haunted. Awesome view, you can see the whole beach from the 5th floor. The tiki bar next door is a nice plus for live music. Overall, the tenants are pretty quiet, so this is a great place for families. The security guard, Rover, is a very nice guy as well and made our stay very pleasant. Thank you for the memorable experience!

We have chosen Hilton Head as our vacation spot for 10 years now. We stayed at Ocean One all but one time and have booked our stay with Seashore Vacations just about every time. Ocean One is our favorite place and Seashore has been very accomodating to our sometimes short notice and length of visit. The grounds are well kept and the walk to beach quick and easy. Unit 511 was clean and comfortable. The kitchen design made the unit feel bigger. Enjoyed our visit, always hate to leave and are looking forward to next year,

We were really disappointed in our scheduled condo. Bare minimums in furniture, no wireless, paint, patio furniture was broken etc. Contacted Seashore Sunday morning and we were immediately visited by the mgr/owner. He took us up to 2 fabulous condos and gave us the keys right away....our stay was a great week with family and friends which we have been doing at Ocean One for 20+ years and 20 more God willing. We used to come here when our children were young, now we are coming with our grandchildren. What good fun we had! Thank you Buddy!!

Everything was great, we have stayed at this property many times and keep coming back. There was a problem with the elevators, they really needed cleaned out - had a lingering odor and the floors were very dirty. Also, I would recommend you add a couple more tables with umbrellas at the pool - these are always at a premium when trying to get one.

This was our thirty plus year of staying at Ocean One. We have stayed in a number of villas and Unit 511 is defintely one of our favorites. The view is breathtaking, the accomodations lovely and we had a wonderful week.

Condo was not clean and very outdated. Did not want to complain while staying there because we did not want cleaning crew in condo when we were not there. Furniture very uncomfortable. Dirty dishes in cabinets, Sand still on bed spread and furniture. Finger prints on mirrors. Ancient t.v. in front room. T.V. in bedroom had terrible picture. Swimming pool in need of re-painting. Location is great and we have stayed there for the last 17 years, but will NOT stay in that unit again. We spoke to Seashores rep. while there to let her know of these issues. We will continue our relationship with Seashores Vacations, but may look for other condos in the South Forest Beach area.

The owner of Ocean One 511 gave us permission to do some painting since it is now the off season which was performed last week. Also looking into a new flat screen TV for the living room. Annual deep clean is scheduled for late November or early December.

I need to put out a big thank you to the folks that own unit 522. The place was clean, up to date and very well stocked. I have been coming to ocean one for over 35 years and as the building gets older the owners need to invest in their properties. The owners of unit 511 have not invested in the upkeep of their unit. The unit was not stocked with over half of the kitchen cabinets empty. We needed to borrow items from the other two units all week. No two dishes matched or the coffee cups and the silver ware was a mess. It looks like they stocked the unit from yard sales. My back was killing me all week and could not sleep. I finally flipped the mattress that had a very bad dip in it only to find out the tag showed it was 22 years old!!!! Really!!!BUY A NEW MATTRESS. Since I have been coming so long I also recognize the furniture as being the original sets that were there when the building was new. Ocean front units are worth a million dollars on the market. UPDATE your unit. The dishwasher would fall out from under the counter when the door was open. It was not secured under the sink. The TVs were pre flat screen and very old. TVs are very cheap now and a small investment. I wasn't in unit 520 that much but it did look to be clean and updated

This is the second time we stayed in this unit, each time in excess of three weeks. It could be somewhat cleaner but our main issue would be updated furniture(couch, love seat, recliner etc)in the living room area including a large screen tv. Otherwise, just great!
