Ocean One 507

Positives: Plenty of space for two families with kids to spread out. Perfect view and access to the beach and one of the best family friendly areas of Hilton Head.
Negatives: The condo is dated and could use a refresh. Biggest issue to be aware of is a door with roof access from the second floor bedroom with no way to prevent older kids from opening it. Even with moving furniture in front of it we did not feel safe leaving the kids unattended on the second floor.

Pros:
-- Condo itself was very roomy, nicely appointed
-- Nice pool, easy to get to
-- located near the center of HH - lots of restaurants within walking distance
-- property mgt was very responsive (gave us a toaster when we asked)
-- nice views from 5th floor
Cons:
-- getting to the beach was a bit of a walk - esp in July
-- elevators were kinda slow
-- the tap water tasted funny - we used bottled water

Property has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and amazing balcony views of the ocean. The layout fit exactly what our families needed. The beds were comfortable. The condo could use some updates- bathrooms and countertops are dated. The carpet going up the stairs is dirty. Note there is a door off the upper bedrooms with roof access which may be concerning with kids. The floors were dirty- our socks and feet were black. Location is the best!

Great location, so much space. Really lovely space, plenty of seating for everyone. Gorgeous views! Right next to The Tiki Bar restaurant, live music every night until 10, but the condo was well insulated so if you didn't want to hear it, shutting the doors kept sound out. Check in was easy.

Would 100% book again. Sunrise views, steps from the beach, responsive hosts. Plenty of room for everyone- 7 adults and two children - beds to spare and very open living area. While no place is perfect , the small handful of minor issues did not negatively impact our enjoyment of this beautiful property. Would absolutely recommend to friends.

It is hard to find a 4 bedroom unit in this complex, and while this property has made some updates (flooring), it needs a major update on all other things. The bedding/mattress is old and uncomfortable. The kitchen is definitely in need of a face lift and the 4th bedroom is only accessible by a VERY tight spiral staircase. The views from the balconies are lovely and overlook the beach and ocean, and if you stay here, I would spend as much time on them vs. being inside where you feel like you are in an episode of Three's Company.

Overall out stay was enjoyable. The balcony views were incredible.
The unit itself had plenty of space for our family. There were some aspects that were concerning considering the amount we spent. The upstairs carpet and on the spiral staircase is in need of deep cleaning and there was a dank smell of mildew upstairs. The bathroom fixtures in the showers are dated and the hot and cold water is reversed. When you say penthouse, the expectation is that the unit will be as grand as the views, especially with the premium price paid for the weekend.

We rented 2 condos on the top floor for 1 week - both ocean side. One unit had 2 bedrooms; the other had 3 bedrooms plus a loft. The 2 bedroom was a typical unit- the larger one was a huge hit with the grandkids staying in the loft - plus it was very spacious. I’d definitely try to get this unit again. Good location - north side of pool - we could hear the Tiki Bar band every night. Good balconies.

This condo was spacious and the view was amazing. The facilities management was on tip of things. However, there were a few items that needed to be addressed. The bathrooms needed some repair. Tiles loose in the shower on the second floor. Shower hardware in the primary bathroom was stripped and hard to manage. Kitchen was well stocked with items. The small dining table seat covers were frayed with holes but I was happy that there was plenty of dinning seating for all of us. Loved having 3 balconies because the beach/pool view is the money maker in this condo.

It’s hard to give this place a high review with how dated everything is in it. There was also mold and water damage all through the up stairs with stained carpet as well. View was amazing so spent most the time sitting on the balcony listening to the ocean to forget about how much we spend on this place when it was full of mold and has not been updated for over 10-15 years. Furniture had rips in it. When I sent pictures of the mold, to the text message I got from the renter all I got was an automated the office is closed and never once got a response back.

Great location! Property management was quick to response to a need we had. Condo was extremely clean and well insulated as we were unable to hear people in the common areas when in the bedrooms. Amazing views from the balconies and kitchen was well stocked.

Furniture is in much need of replacement and the staircase to go upstairs is very steep and narrow, but an amazing space as the bedroom has a door from the bonus area with the 2 twin beds.

Would love to see it updated but would stay here again and would recommend to others.

This was the 3rd time we stay at Ocean One unit 507. The location is great with only a few steps to the private pool and beach. The property is next door to the Tiki Hut so you can enjoy the amenities & music. The grandkids loved the location & unit.

This is the 2nd time we rented property at Ocean One. The unit was large and very comfortable and accommodated 5 adults & 2 children. Walk out to the pool, firepits and beach were just steps away. Restaurants and shopping was walking distance and only minutes away. We will rent again next year.

Overall we loved our stay in 507. The view is amazing!!! The large living area, two tables inside, and two balconies(one with large table) were great for our party of 8. There were plenty of beach towels for our use and the kitchen had lots of storage space. The upstairs could use a refresh and the lighting in the living area was a little low.
Seashore Vacations makes the process of checking in and out easy and the one issue we had was resolved in just a few minutes. This is our 5th year renting a condo in Ocean One through Seashore and look forward to next year.

This is the perfect location for a visit to Hilton Head. Walking distance to so many shops, bars, restaraunts, live music. We had a great time. The second level is accessible by a spiral staircase - which we did not realize until we got there but managed. But if you have older people or large luggage...maybe find a one story unit.

This rental was in a fabulous location and was a great size for our 2 families of 4 to share. We enjoyed the beach and pool. The condo association does a wonderful job of upkeeping the property. The unit itself needs some general maintenance. There was mold on the ceiling, dirty air conditioners, shower doors that didn't work well, refrigerator drawer that was broken and pantry shelf that kept falling. These items were reported to the rental company and they came out immediately to address some of the issues, but more repairs should be done. We would stay here again, however would really like to see some updating to the unit itself.

We enjoyed our stay at 507 Ocean One. Very convenient to Cologny Shopping and Restaruants. Easy access to the beach. The condo was very clean and had everything needed to make our stay enjoyable and a little like home. Would recommend anytime to rent this unit for its size and reso able pricing.

#1. The moment you open the door and walk into the living room first thing you notice is the breathtaking ocean views. First 10mins were spent admiring the beautiful view from multiple balconies.

#2. When you finally step back into the condo and start looking through the rooms you’re hit with another realization: this condo is pretty run down. I don’t think there’s a square foot on the carpet/walls or furniture that doesn’t have some kind of mark or stain on it. Before the rest of the family showed up I spent sometime rearranging cushions on the living room couch to hide some of the stains, we spent almost $8k on this condo so that was pretty ridiculous. Like other have mentioned I think the whole building needs some love, the elevator was something out of Final Destination and would shake on the way down making loud bangs. Apart from stained furniture, dirty carpet and moldy air vents it was livable. Patio furniture on the balconies did look new which was nice. Upper level was pretty interesting and had a door that let to the roof which had the best view in the building. Box spring was incredibly noisy in that room keeping the couple staying there up most of the night, also major bugs.

#3. After spending a few days in the condo and checking out the area you come to another realization: this might be the best location on the island. Being able to walk down to Coligny beach at any moment to catch a sunrise/sunset or just watch the stars after looking for wildlife in the evening is pretty awesome. We saw sting rays, dolphins, even a shark. At one point we had an umbrella set up on the beach and a spot reserved at the pool so we could just go back and forth as we wish with condo being right there to grab drinks etc. You’re also in the walking distance from multiple restaurants and bars, I think Frosty Frog was my favorite, great food and delicious adult Frosties.

You can’t beat the view and location! Our condo was spacious and had an incredible view. Unfortunately, it needs a major remodel in every space. Plus, the cleaning crew could have done a better job. There was sand in the cabinets. Otherwise, it’s a super nice and convenient place. We would rent again if the owners updated it.

We had a lovely time. The view and space were wonderful. Plenty of beach towels available, games, the amenities were great. The chairs on the patio with the table are in terrible shape. Worn and uncomfortable in need of replacement. The fan in the master bath and other king room were not working. Master bedroom could use a ceiling fan. The BR gets hot white the front bedroom is freezing. Carpet needs to be cleaned. The blinds in master BR need replacing. Two strips missing. The screen is difficult to open. The front door needs some WD 40. Loft has an odor.

We loved the condo and location and responsiveness of Seashore Vacations for the few minor issues we had with lightbulbs and broken microwave handle. They could not have been more helpful and responded quickly to our concerns. The condo was delightful and so convenient to beach and shopping and restaurants.
