Ocean One 503

We just returned from our Hilton Head Island trip and can't wait to go back. This two bedroom unit was perfect for the four of us and having a balcony on the fifth floor was perfect for relaxing and taking in the ocean views right in front of you. The unit was clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook up a nice meal after a day at the pool/ocean. The location of this property is perfectly located next to restaurants, shopping and activities to fill your schedule. We have been staying at this location for many years and wouldn't go anywhere else. This was our first time staying at this unit and would stay here again in a second. Highly recommend this unit if your planning on staying on the island. My only minor recommendation would be to switch out the two twin beds with two queen beds in the second bedroom for a little extra room but that's it.

The elevators are our only complaint. They were old, slow, and super
Hot. God forbid one of those broke down with people on it, it would be a problem quickly. Other than that it was a great stay!

Both bathroom fans don't work , dishwasher is not attached and falls out when you open the dishwasher door. Mattress is old, not comfortable, and disgusting. Outside the property is very nice as usual, all maintained.f

Nice location, well kept condo and excellent view of the beach. The negatives were loud music after 9pm at the Tiki Hut next door. It was great during the day ntil you were ready to watch TV. The twin beds seemed very small for 2 adults. And the sheer curtains in the LR should be replaced with sunblocking like the master bedroom. Everything else was very nice.

This condo was so very clean and so very close to everything. There was an elevator to take you to the fifth floor. The view was fantastic with some epic sunrises. There is a bar next to the property that has live bands so every evening there is loud music to entertain you. You cannot not hear it!! It ends by 9:30 ish and for the most part the bands were great.

The view from the top balcony was great. The private entrance into the beach allowed for easy access, and the opportunity to setup early. It's a bit of a truck regardless if you're beaching, but you should know that going in. The twin beds in the bedroom are SMALL. So when they say Twin, they mean it. The place would be a bit better with one big bed in that room.

Unit 503 is in need of a deep cleaning / updating for the price of being charged for weekly rental. Had issues with the running toilet, property mgt did send a plumber within a half hour of calling them about it. He made adjustments but it didn’t last. I didn’t call back, I just dealt with it. The area rug and living room furniture need a deep cleaning. Ive been vacationing on HHI for over 20 years. Stayed in different areas of the island, Ocean One complex as a whole is a great complex and is convenient location to Coligny stores and restaurants. It’s always clean, other units are updated and very nice. Seashore Vacation Company is a great company with friendly staff, we will be back, we will stay at Ocean One again just in a different unit.

We have been coming to ocean one for many years and room by far was the worst accommodation ever. Broken drawers, broken handle on microwave, missing moulding on baseboard, plug cover missing,knife marks on wall in kitchen, screen door a mess, overall upkeep nonexistent! Would never stay in this unit again

First of all I love booking with Sea Shore Rentals. The fact that as soon as your unit is clean and they text you you are allowed in is fabulous! Never had to wait until 4 pm!!!! This unit is located in a perfect ocean front view. Close to a music venue, so if that's going to disturb you, be mindful. We happened to enjoy the local talent. Close enough to Coligny Square to walk also. We defwould stay here again. Condo has a full washer and dryer for families that need it also.

This property is ideally located near restaurants and shopping at Coligny. We walked to lunch a couple of times. We enjoyed beautiful views of ocean from our balcony and enjoyed the live bands from the Tiki Hut just below us while sitting on the balcony in the evenings. We had a front row seat for the rising of the full moon.

Over all very satisfied. Location perfect. Living room,dining room, bedrooms are very nice. The bathrooms and kitchen need improved. Kitchen lights need replaced. I had to use flashlight to see coffee maker buttons, dishwasher tips out as top rack pulled out, and had 3 toasters none of which worked properly. Bathroom exhaust fans didn’t work, ceiling needs repaired, medicine cabinet in main bath interior covered in rust and not usable. TV in living room is dying. Difficult to see picture in daytime.

The location was perfect for a beach vacation. The rental was old and not as described at all. Description said new paint, new furniture and new carpet. It was described as recently renovated. This was all false. Paint is stained and chipped, there is no carpet in the bedrooms as pictured in the description. There are 2 very old and dirty area rugs in the living room. The furniture is all old and outdated. The bathrooms had mold in the showers. The one shower didn’t drain properly. The dishwasher was not mounted at all and fell out everytime you opened it. All and all it worked for our family but I would not rent this condo again. I called to let them know the first day that I was unhappy with this condo and it wasn’t as described. I was told someone would call me and they never did.

Always love Hilton Head & Ocean One! Accommodations at 503 were less than stellar! Dirty dishes, dirty floors, missing electrical plate cover missing in dining room bookshelf, dishwasher not safe when loading dishes, as it is not screwed on to the counter top, water came in when hurricane Idalia blew water in under the sliding door and had to place towels there to keep water from coming into the living area, master bath plumbing needs screwed to not float around, master shower doors flop around, hole in second bath door, neither bathroom fans work to any effect, HOA needs to invest in deep pocket sheets as the current sheets do not stay where they are supposed to! Owner needs to do some major upgrades! Seashore Vacations is a great company and we really enjoyed our stay, even tho the condo was not the greatest, and of course Ocean One being right on the ocean is great! Many thanks! :)

We had thee BEST time again this year!!!! [28yrs} at O1..1/1 to 4/1.... Seashore Vacations still the best on the island!!! already have made made reservations for 2023!! Same unit 503...If your planning a vacation to HHI start with Seashore they are very professional, truly enjoy what they do!!!! 01/503 is located exactly where you need to be close to everything u need from groceries,shopping,restaurants and of coarse the beach!!! the view from 503 is bad restaurants on HHI!! but try Fish Camp,Ela's Nunzio's and Pomodori's...would definitely recommend 01/503 to a family or friend or family... Can't wait to return !!!!!!!!!!!

Just returned from a 10 day vacation at Ocean one 503. The description and pictures do accurately describe it. The view from the balcony is magnificent. The property was clean. The beds were very comfortable. The new floor looked wonderful and the furniture was nice. A couple of things I wanted to bring to the owners attention: when it rains a lot of water seeps through the living room glass sliding door underneath the new floor. We like to cook more than just salt and pepper would be helpful. More than one dish cloth and dishtowel would be helpful also. A few cleaning supplies and rags would provide an opportunity for us to clean the bathrooms and sinks a little while we’re there. The lamp by the sliding glass door in the living room has a short in it. Some beach towels would be helpful so your beautiful white bath towels are not used to take to the beach. Hope these were helpful! I would definitely recommend this place the grounds were magnificently manicured. It’s in a great location, we kayaked did two cruises went to Harbor town had a wonderful time.

Property is managed by Seashore Vacations. Check-in and check-out was simple, and well organized. Main complaints about Condo unit condition were carpet in master bedroom was heavily stained and needed a deep cleaning or replacement. Master bedroom king mattress was worn out, and sunken in 2 places, and ready to be replaced. The twin beds in 2nd bedroom were fine. The screen door to the balcony was difficult to open & close, and to keep on the track. Upper & lower track needs cleaning & lubricate. The main entry door could use a shoe tray. We are accustomed to leaving shoes at the door, and not tracking dirt throughout the home. Otherwise, the Condo is perfectly located on the beach, great ocean view, easy walk to restaurants, & shopping. Parking spots were always available. Security guard was present when necessary, and area was safe. There were several bike rental shops nearby, and live music within walking distance. Internet service & cable TV was excellent.

In this COVID we were excited to get away after quarantining for months on end. Having been to Hilton Head for consecutive years we happened upon Ocean One. It was everything we could have wanted; excellent location, beachfront condo, shopping/dining a short 5 minute walk at Cologne Plaza. Condo was spacious and had all amenities necessary. We will definitely return to Hilton Head annually and we have now found the ideal place for us to stay. (If we could change one thing it would be to either replace carpet in master bedroom or put down wood flooring.)

Property Management company easy to work with. Property was clean & pictures were accurate. Everything was in working order. However highly recommend changing out all flooring, especially all carpeting. Bedroom carpets were stained, worn and simply gross. We would like to rent this unit again but only will once flooring has been changed out. A simple investment to maintaining repeat renters :)

Enough parking , easy access to beach, all the things inside the condo were working , spacious , nice view from balcony .
It would be nice , if we did not have to stop by At office to get the code for door and gate, also newer type , user friendly door lock and it was hard to social distance on the way to beach from the condo (access was narrow ), if it was one way it would have been better. Overall we enjoyed and do not hesitate to book again .

We had a wonderful time in Hilton Head and the Ocean One property was very nice. However, the unit we were in was very dated and in need of cleaning and repairs. Carpet in both bedrooms was very soiled, the living room Pergo flooring near the patio slider doors was buckled and obviously water damaged. The guest bathroom door was broken near the door stop and the A/C and heat registers/vents were in need of real cleaning.

The condo was in an absolutely perfect location. The balcony views of the beach and ocean were fantastic! We saw plenty of dolphins from our fifth floor perch along with a merlin (pigeon hawk) whose residence was the tree near the balcony. It was an easy walk to Coligny Plaza which was awesome.
The condo is dated and the furniture is adequate but not necessarily nice. The balcony chairs were not in great shape and there were some other "janky" issues with lamps in one of the bedrooms. The bathroom door became jammed and it appears that this was because of the installation of two different kinds of doorknobs. None of this clouded our view of the experience and I would rent this condo again.
Some reviewers complained of the nightly live music next door but we did not find it to be too loud. All of the performers were quite good actually and it was nice sitting on the balcony listening to them. The music always ended at 10pm so this was no issue for us.
I would recommend this condo as long as you know going in that it is dated and worn down a little. That's not to say that it wasn't clean because it was, but if you're going with the intention of spending a lot of time inside the condo, then you may be disappointed. I'm not sure why you would go to HHI to do that but be forewarned if that is your intention.
Spend your time out and about and on the balcony when you're at the condo. The fifth floor view is worth the money with beach access and convenience to Coligny a perfect combination.

The direct ocean view and location near many shops and restaurants are what brought us back to this condo. It’s nice to sit out on your balcony and drink your own wine listening to the live music next door (every evening) or listen to the ocean (mornings). While super clean, the unit is outdated and needs a refresh.

Property was in good condition. Great location with easy access to the shops and restaurants at Coligny. Great view from balcony. Pool was well kept and has a 9 ft deep end. Gate guards and staff were very friendly and helpful.

A little too close to the live music at the beach bar down below for our tastes but it was not overwhelming. Only negatives were the TV's are a little small and the lack of a solid curtain in the living room makes the pullout bed a little less attractive as an option since sunrise comes thru the sheer fairly easily. Not major deals, but opportunities for improvement. Would definitely reserve again.

Unit was very nice with nice furniture and a great view of the beach from the top floor. Unit had regular coffee make and a Keurig. Only issue was it was very close to the Holiday Inn (2nd unit away) and you could hear the band music from the Holiday Inn until it stops at 10pm. Good music but you hear it. Unit bathroom fans do not work which I would typically use to block out noise. No ceiling fans which are also nice.

Condo was exactly as described. It was very clean and lovely as well as the property's general condition. We stayed on the 5th floor on the ocean side. It was perfect to relax on the porch while sipping wine and listening to the live music from the hotel next door. I would recommend this property for a great beach and golf get away.

Great location and the condo is in good shape. I had the same one 2 years ago and I noticed that there were a few changes, like the 2 seats in the living room.
I prefer condos on the opposite side of Ocean One just because it's further from the Holiday Inn and the music is just loud enough when on the other side.
Just a note on the dryer: the filter was absolutely full so it was taking forever to dry anything. We had to take the vacuum cleaner to reach deep into it to clean enough. I'M not talking about the part we see but deep under it.

This condo was comfortable but in need of a real deep cleaning. Bathrooms had hair everywhere. Dining table was dirty. Screen on the patio door was laying outside on the patio. Lots of kitchen essentials were missing. Didn't want cleaning people in condo if we weren't there, so we did some cleaning ourselves, but carpets smelled. Whoever is in charge of checking condos after cleaning is done, doesn't do a very good job.

Once again my wife and i spent the winter months in 503!!! [Jan,Feb and Mar.]... It was our 23rd year at Ocean One. Have stayed in several units but 503 ranks in the top three we have rented. We do plan on renting 503 again next year!! The view is incredible!!!! The unit is outfitted perfectly for us. Plus its always clean when we arrive. One of the big pluses is Seashore Vacation Rentals.. We had a problem with the internet i called and talked to Lynn and Richard was there within an hour and I was back online in a half hour..Not only is 503 where u want to stay but Ocean One is situated perfectly for all your needs. Along with Seashore having your back for any problems you might experience while vacationing at Ocean One!!!

This was the 4th time I rented from Seashore vacations and the 3rd at Ocean One.
This condo was not up to standard.
Wallpaper was peeling and paint on the wall was dirty and more than overdue for a new coat.
It really was not as luxurious as others condos I had in the past. Since the price is not cheaper because of that, we were really disappointed.
Many plates and glasses in the cupboards were dirty. The cleaning of the unit must have been done in a hurry because the kitchen and bathrooms looked dirty.
In addition, and that is not management fault, it's closer to the Holiday Inn therefore it's impossible to enjoy the view and ocean sound from our balcony as the hotel almost always have a band playing or loud music.
Early in the morning the hotel has no music playing. you would think it's a good time to enjoy the clam? No! And this is management fault: someone is blowing the pines needles and leaves with a gas blower!
How horrible is that!? Has no one ever heard of a good, noise free, broom?!

Having stayed at Ocean One for over 20 yrs. 503 ranks in the top five we have rented. The view is "INCREDIBLE". The unit is outfitted perfectly for my wife and me.Including micro,coffee maker,washer and dryer and the all important blender and Wifi. Plus several other items to make your stay whether its a week or three months very comfortable!!! Ocean One is situated perfectly everything is within walking distances including groceries,shopping at coligney plaza and the all important liquor store if needed. Don't forget to rent a bike to ride on the beach. But beware of which direction the wind is blowing!!!! You will find staying at Ocean One and especially 503 you will want to come back year after year!!!!

My family (daughter, son-in-law, and 2 grandchildren) spent 7 days at this condo unit in Sept. The condo was furnished very nicely and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. It was very neat and clean, appliances were all in good condition. The view from this condo is beautiful and it is so convenient to both the walkway to the beach (very short distance to beach) and to the pool. Pool is large and was very clean. Ocean One is in a great and very convenient location. Personnel at the property management company were very helpful and so very nice. We would love to be able to stay here again!

Have been staying at Ocean One for about 20 years. First time we have ever ask to be moved from one condo to another. We were originally in 511 and it was unacceptable to say the least. The owners of this unit need to do some serious updating and repairs. Cleaning crew left a lot to be desired. Dirty dishes in cabinets, etc. Buddy was AWESOME in changing us to condo 503 immediately. I will be reviewing unit 503 only.

We loved the location and the view was awesome from our balcony. The condo was large and had plenty of space; however, it was old and dated. Would love to see the bathrooms renovated and the kitchen as well. Kitchen was pretty well stocked, liked having a coffee maker and toaster. Would have liked blankets on the beds or at least provided. Overall, we loved the location and being right on the beach!!

A wonderful condo -- very comfortable! The only problem was the live music at the neighboring Holiday Inn every afternoon and evening; we found most of their entertainment to be irritating; it was only a problem when we were outside on our deck or in the pool area. Don't get me wrong: we had a super stay but the loud music was the only negative. The Holiday Inn should not be allowed to impose this on their neighbors.

This condo is in the best location on HHI and has the most wonderful amenities. It is within walking distance to Coligny Plaza for shopping and groceries, has a balcony that overlooks the beach and ocean, there's a private walk to the beach and the pool is large and clean. The condo was clean and spacious, the kitchen appliances were like new, there's wifi and two full baths. We could not have been more pleased with our decision to stay there. Can't wait until next year!

The condo where we stayed was perfect. It had a wonderful view and everything we needed. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay.

This was our 5th year at Ocean One. We had not been in unit 503 before. We found it clean and comfortable. I think it would be helpful to add additional pillows and blankets for the future. They may have been available from the rental office, but I did not ask.

This is a very nice condo with great views of the beach! It was very spacious, and I liked having a washer and dryer in the condo. The one thing that would be helpful is if there were a blackout curtain in the living room. No sleeping past 6:30 am if you are on the sofa bed.
My family enjoyed sitting on the balcony and listening to the bands playing next door. They were all pretty good. We enjoyed our stay at Ocean One and will likely stay here again.

Great experience-terrific view of the ocean and able to sleep to the sounds of the ocean. Small problem with bedspread,master br. toilet and fog developing on the front room window.

We have been staying at this property for the last 20 years always in different units; the location is great. Unit 503 was nice and clean but needs to update the furnishings and do some maintenance (painting). TVs were outdated. It would be nice to offer your guests Wi-Fi also. We recycle but the property did not have any type of facility for recyclables. Please consider some type of recycling facilities. Seashores has always been great to work with. We will definitely be back again.

The outside maintenance and was great. The outside property was spotless and well maintained. The inside of the condo was okay(was a lot better than the one we had last year). Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect location! Short walk to Plaza and beach. Loved sitting on balcony listening to the ocean and the music from the Tiki Bar next door. (when you close your patio doors, you do not hear the music) Wonderful stay.

Very pleased with the condo unit and the overall vacation.
The unit was clean but we did find some Christmas tinsel and plastic wrappers under the table that the cleaners missed.
The only uncomfortable time was on our next to last day when a group of college students occupied the area on the beach in front of the condo. Both male and female students used the sand dunes as a lavatory and disregarded the NO TREPASSING sign on the gated walkway. They climbed around the gate and went thru the property as a shortcut. The "BEACH PATROL" when notified did nothing when advised of the students bringing glass containers and "PARTY DRINKS - BEER and ALCOHOL" onto the beach.

We had a great two week stay. Enjoyed waking up to a sea view each day. In walking distance to all amenities which was great. Would definately stay again. A 10 out of 10.

Room 503 has a great view of the ocean. Use of Pool and property was great. Overall the stay was fine. We have been staying at Ocean One for years, but this unit needs some upgrades in all rooms.
