Ocean One 409

The rental process, location and view were amazing. The condo itself was run down. The walls need painted. The furniture is not as shown ans in the pictures and all creaks when you sit in it or lay in a bed. The minor updates were done poorly. This is a true rundown rental.

Condo is in a great location, ocean front, quick walk to Coligny with shops and restaurants. Owners need to update appliances, refrigerator is about 40 years old and shows it. Leaks water, no ice and Seashore sent repair people but its beyond its life.

We have stayed at Ocean One many times using Seashore Vacations. Property description was accurate. Location was convenient. Oceanfront was a great view. Kitchen had many amenities. A starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, and dishwasher detergent was provided. Bath towels were small, and some were threadbare. They could use replaced.
The inside of the unit was not clean. All hard surface floors need a good cleaning. I walked barefoot in the kitchen and my feet were black afterwards. The kitchen counters were sticky and the outside of the fridge needed cleaned. There was hair (not ours) in one of the showers when we arrived. One of the living room chairs had a large stain on it. We have stayed in many Ocean One units and this unit did not meet the usual high standard. However, the outside grounds were very well maintained. We were impressed with the new pool/patio area.
When booking the unit and making payments, Seashore was great to work with, as always.
I would recommend Ocean One and Seashore Vacations, but not this particular unit.
We enjoyed the beach, pool, Tiki Hut, Coligny, Sandbar, Pool Bar Jim's, etc. So many places within walking or biking distance. One of the reasons that Ocean One is so desirable.

Ocean one is in a prime location with many community updates (pool, deck, fire pits, grills +). The grounds are well kept and opportunities to rent equipment with your stay is a plus. Spacious unit.

The condos we have rented have been clean and maintenance always taken care of through Seashore Vacations. We will continued to book our condo through them for years to come!

We have stayed in various Ocean One condos for years, but this was the first time in 409. Our favorite part was the shady balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. We could walk to Coligny to enjoy shopping and dining. The unit itself needs some appliance updates, and a professional decorator's touch. However, we arrived to a clean condo that allowed us to enjoy our YaYa getaway!

Well stocked condo. The location and view were great with easy access to the beach. The newly remodeled pool and fire pit areas were lovely. Friendly atmosphere and the on-site support staff met our needs promptly.

Our family of 4 adults and 2 toddlers fit perfectly in the condo. The new pool and surrounding patio is meticulously done just in time for our stay. There were no glitches. I’ve been coming to HHI since 1971 with parents & have enjoyed annual visits. Lots of changes over the years but HHI keeps calling us back with our children and now grandchildren. The location on North Forest Beach is the best. The staff on the property was very gracious and welcoming and it was great to have the extra security. He was very conscientious and welcoming. First time staying in Ocean One and loved it. Quick access to restaurants Flarbread and It’s Greek to Me & Salty Dog Cafe in South Beach were favorites. Also The French Bakery in Shelter Cove shopping area and Bikes from Sharkys. Thank you so much. Patty U

Location is great. The condo had good and bad things The granite counter tops in the kitchen were nice. The mattresses were very worn down. I slept on the couch. The curtins in the living room were black out. Those in the master were not.

The view was great but there were several things in need of repair in the condo. Broken tiles at the sliding glass door. Rust on the refrigerator and stove. Mismatched floors everywhere. I have rented beautiful condos there before but this one needs a lot of work. Furniture is very worn out and the mattress in the master br very lumpy and uncountable ! To pay close to $1800 for four days stay should have been better.

We planned our vacation around Oyster Fest and the Lantern Parade and the location was perfect! The condo was comfortable and well stocked with anything we needed. The beach/ocean view is amazing. Having an en suite bath in both bedrooms is a definite plus. There was some construction taking place, but we didn't really hear much noise. Seashore Vacations staff went above and beyond when we arrived. Originally we had a unit on the 5th floor at Shorewood, but the elevator had been out of service and we had my 78year old mother traveling with us. Upon learning of our situation, we were provided with an alternate location (which was this unit) that better suited my mom's abilities. Upon our departure, my husband left behind a sweatshirt and the staff also were able to locate and return it to us!

Overall Space and location were a 10/10. The actual unit was stocked to fit our needs. The decore had me questioning when Blanche and the gang were arriving with the Cheesecake, but over all we really enjoyed our stay!!!

This is the third year we have rented at Ocean One. We were aware of some construction work being done while we were there. Since it was in the spring and the weather was cool, we didn't mind the pool being closed. But the dust on the balconies was pretty bad. Other than that we had a create time.

Fast and easy check in. Very nice condo. No issues. Great view from the balcony, living room or master bedroom. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. Very close to Coligny.

Great place and only place we stay at least twice a year.Only thing wrong was a huge Palm tree right in front of the balcony blocking the beautiful view of the ocean.

The location of Ocean One is excellent! The view of the ocean from the balcony is a perfect way to start the day! Walking distance to the shops and restaurants at Coligny are an added bonus! The unit 409 is nice - the kitchen is well stocked and the furniture is comfortable but a bit worn but we don’t spend too much time in the room!
We will use Seashore Vacations again next year!

Location Location Location . . .This unit/building is in a great location with easy access to the beach and to the Coligny Plaza for shopping and eating. The unit itself was good but not great. The furniture needs a little updating, the dryer didn't work and some of the pots/pans need to be replaced. A quick spruce up (probably under $1k)and I would give it a 5 star review. We will stay in the building again but we might try a different unit. Seashore Vacations was great to work with and when asking questions via email throughout the week - they were very responsive and gave some good suggestions. Enjoy your trip to Hilton Head Island.

As in the past Seashore Vacations is the best management company and dealt with any problem we had very rapidly. We have stayed in the same unit for years and it definitely needs some major updates. The maintenance crew at Ocean One keeps the property in tip top shape.

Condo was clean, but could use a good dusting of the baseboards and other surfaces. Living room furniture was comfortable but worn and needs to be replaced. I would stay here again and again!

Our family had to get out after over 8 weeks of the covid quarantine. We booked last minute at this location and we absolutely loved it. We usually stay in shipyard (which we love) but we’re glad we had this ocean view to wake up to every morning. The place is really nice and the staff was wonderful to work with. My family will reserve at ocean one in the future

Had never visited Hilton Head before and my first stay there was awesome. Ocean one was top notch , condo, pool , beach how could you beat that . Location was close to great restaurants and entertainment and all within in walking distance or a short drive. Will definitely stay there again and has me thinking of possibly retiring to the area instead of Florida.

We’ve been staying at Ocean One for at least 15 summer vacations. It’s location is convenient to shop a and restaurants in Coligny Plaza. The property is beautifully landscaped and maintained, and the pool and outdoor restrooms are kept sparkling clean. The outdoor grilling area is a great amenity.

We’ve stayed in many different units over the years. Many have been very attractively and sensibly updated.

This summer’s unit—409– was adequately furnished EXCEPT the stools need to be counter height! The air ducts and ceilings need to be cleaned.

Ocean One is an ideal location for a beach vacation. We enjoyed the condo and no maintenance issues. Furnishings were nice. The view is somewhat restricted by the building to the left but it didn't bother us. One minor issue Is that the dishwasher and washing machine are quite loud and are better run when you aren't in the condo. Overall a nice place to stay.

My family has stayed at Ocean One in Hilton head for several years. It is an expensive place to stay, but we like the location and ease of making multiple family reservations. However, this unit was a disappointment. The kitchen was dirty with stains all over the outside of the refrigerator and not all of the dishes in the cabinet were clean. The furniture wasn't comfortable and the chairs slid on the floor when we sat down. The worst part was the master bedroom. There was a terrible mildew smell and when we called the rental company they didn't fix it. Instead, they sprayed Glade and offered to come back with more plug-in fresheners. The smell was there all week and made being in the room unpleasant. Overall, the cost of what we paid versus the accommodations was extremely disappointing. We won't be staying here again and will look into another complex for next year.

Absolutely loved Ocean One. Our Unit 409 was beachfront with a balcony in the living room and also in one of the two bedrooms. The unit was very clean and very well kept. Fully stocked with every possible need. We plan on returning to Ocean One next year and if Unit 409 is available we will definitely rent that unit again! Also, Pete and all of the staff at Seashore rentals were the absolute best!

Our unit was clean and beautifully furnished. It had a gorgeous view of the pool and the ocean. Easy access to the beach. Loved the big balcony off the family room and the little balcony off the Master! Perfect for having coffee and looking out at the ocean in the mornings. We would request this unit again!

The picture is worth a thousand.We spent many an hour in the morning and evening on the deck watching the shrimp boats troll the Atlantic and listening to the surf. The unit is in great shape and Seashore Vacations always does a great job accomodating our stay. We've been to HHI over 20 times and will return to this unit.

This was our first time renting a condo and our first time in Hilton Head. We loved everything about it! Our two (2) adult children were able to go with us. We had plenty of room and were very comfortable in the condo. The view was beautiful! This condo was a close walking distance to everything, We rented bicycles and beach chairs which were delivered to and picked up from the condo. That made things easy. It was a great experience and we will definitely stay again!!!

We rented this condo for 5 nights starting on Labor Day. My husband and I arrived at the rental office early (1:15 pm) and we were able to move into the condo 30 minutes later. Seashore Vacations was great to work with. They were professional and very customer oriented and accommodating.
The condo was very clean and had a remodeled kitchen and new living room furniture. The Master Bedroom overlooks the ocean and pool with its own balcony and 2 chairs. The main balcony is accessed through the Living Room and had seating for 6. We loved the ocean and pool views from both.
The bathrooms looked like they too had been recently updated. They supplied enough paper products and soaps that the only thing we had to purchase was regular dish washing detergent.
There was a ton of storage space throughout the condo. They even had chairs and floats for the ocean or pool. We did purchase an umbrella at the nearby Piggly Wiggly to use on the beach.
The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed.
We liked the layout of the condo with the Kitchen and Living Room on one side and both bedrooms and bathrooms on the other side. The Master Bedroom had a huge closet and more hangers than we needed. The pool and ocean were both a short walk - the access to both were just off the elevator. The pool was right below our condo and the beach right beyond the pool.
The beach was clean and big enough that we were never crowded. There were showers between the ocean and pool area to wash off sand. The pool was cleaned and treated every morning and was delightful!
Housekeeping did a great job and everything was very clean and well-maintained. The only minor issue was the closet door in the foyer which was difficult to open and close (maybe because of all the sand - this was where the beach chairs and floats were stored). But this was really no big deal.
We would definitely return to Ocean One and stay at Unit 409.

The beach and the pool were great. Well kept and convenient. The room was perfect for us. Floors could have been cleaner, rugs were old, but over all the condo had everything we needed including a private ocean front balcony we used very often. One recommendation to the owner is to put a cloths line in the showers to hang wet bathing suits. The property doesn't allow hanging cloths outside, so a cloths line would help! :)

we look forward always to our yearly HH vacation. We have rented this unit nearly every year. However, this year and last, we have become very unhappy w/the age of the furniture in the living room;couches and chairs and rugs very uncomfortable and dirty ;and the master king bed mattress has needed to be replaced for years. We both come back from HH w/aching backs. Reconsidering where we should stay next year. Also, appreciate Buddy and his staff over all these years,however,this year, the staff in the office,at time of arrival, was not up to the usual "welcoming."

Condo is great conditon and well equipped. Only negative is that the master bathe needs to be updated with walk-in shower. Also, deck furniture could be replaced with more confortable furniture. Renters for a week spend most of their time at the pool/ocean; however, when here for winter months (4) more time is spent on deck--we have to bring a more comfortable chair to sit in. Otherwise, couldn't be a better place to spend the winter!

Also, marketing program should be such that a review is sent at the end of stay.
