Family Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 5 High Rigger. The location is excellent with just a short walk to the beach plus you are within a short drive to almost anywhere in Hilton Head. The house was very clean when we arrived and is very well equipped including a griddle for pancakes! A big plus from the grandkids! We really liked the ease of check-in with the door code versus a key and Sea Turtle Getaways did a great job getting us all the info we needed for a great stay.

Beach Vibes

We had a lovely week in Hilton Head. The proximity to the beach at this property was a game changer. Overall the kitchen was well stocked and the house was the perfect size for our two families. Our only
Issues were that the rental does not include towels which sent us scrambling and the house could have been cleaner. For the cost of the rental I would have expected towels for the pool and the beach. There were cobwebs in a couple places. The management was very helpful whenever we needed something.

Nice home

This is the 3rd year of us staying at the home. It is spacious & well equipped in the kitchen. It is about 70 steps from the beach but no ocean view since it is a second-row home. The owners installed a new microwave & oven while we were there. The main complaints we have with the house is that the HVAC cannot keep the house warm when it is cold outside & the parking is tight. We would have rented it for the 4th year, but it is not available in Jan - Feb 2027.

Just steps from the beach!

I have rented this home for the last 3 years. It is perfect for our family
3 couples two children. They even had sand toys for the children. Well stocked kitchen. Great access to the beach.

Family vacation 2025

The rental was a great location! It was clean and a good size for our extended family to stay.
The driveway was difficult to use as it was narrow and hard to navigate out of.
Rented chairs and umbrellas from property management and that wasn’t the best service. Equipment went to wrong location. Prop management was great at fixing the issue quickly.

5 High Rigger

It was a wonderful visit. We have stayed at this house numerous times. We do plan to stay there again.
Housekeeping did not leave as clean as they usually do upon our arrival. The beds may need to be replaced soon. One needs to be careful on the deck during the day it is extremely hot to the point of burning ones feet.

Highrigger 5- Palmetto Dunes

Very clean property conveniently located second row to the Ocean. Only critique is the bed in the master on the main floor. Suggest upgrading to a suitable bed to match the expected level of comfort for the property. Overall, we had a great stay.

Lovely House

We have traveled to Hilton Head for 30+ years and this house is the nicest we have stayed in. The owners have done several renovations inside and out. It is very nicely done. It was clean and very well outfitted for an extended stay. Nice location and very close to the beach. We have worked with Sea Turtles Getaways for 6 years now. They have always been very responsive when called upon. We will definitely rent this location again.

Great Location

The best thing about this house is the location. 3 min walk to the beach! The owners seem to be renovating in stages. Most of the common areas, and some of the bedrooms, have been nicely renovated, and the cleaning crew did a great job. Otherwise, expect old carpeting in the bedrooms, a leaky, smelly garage, an exterior way overdue for maintenance and pool coping that has chunks missing. The management company, Sea Turtle Getaways, Selena and Dakota, were wonderful to work with- very responsive, prior to and durning our trip!

Great House and Great Service

We had a fantastic stay at 5 High Rigger. Everything about the house was perfect for our family. Additionally, one of the AC units had a hiccup during our stay and the staff at Sea Turtle Getaways arranged a tech to come to the home who stayed after hours until the problem was fixed.

I highly recommend the house and would gladly stay in any of the Sea Turtle properties based on the great experience.

Great place to stay!

Easy access to the beach. Nice pool. House was well stocked and had a very nice floor plan. Great kitchen. Overall, plenty of room all. Parking was a little challenging because of the angle in the driveway and trees on either side. But we managed to get in and out ok. Would have liked to use pool light for kids at night but it may have been disabled for guests because of local laws regarding turtle nesting.

Great Trip

My family of 7 really enjoyed our stay at 5 Highrigger. The house was clean and the location was fantastic. It is practically right on the beach but still had a very private feel. We had a very minor issue and the property manager quickly responded. I would highly recommend it to others.

Palmetto Dunes on Hilton Head Island is our go to annually. Sea Turtle took care of us. The house was good, plenty of bathrooms.

HHI Vacation 2023

Sea turtles getaways is a great rental company. Very responsive to any requests and makes the vacation rental process simple. Friendly staff. Our vacation home was very nice overall but had a couple of needed updates. The carpet in the bedrooms was stained and appeared dirty. I’m sure the cleaning staff ran the vacuum but the stains were beyond what would be acceptable looking wear. The outdoor furniture could use an update or refresh, around the pool. The beds were not comfortable. Other than that, the home had been updated and was well equipped for most any kitchen gadget we needed. And it had nice decor and furnishings. The location was awesome and we really enjoyed the close proximity to the beach. Overall, a good stay.

We had a great time. The house was great.
The only comment we have is the quality of the shower heads in the master bathroom and also the twin bed room.

Spectacular Beach Week

The home accommodated our family, cousins & grandparents very well. Everyone had their own space that worked well for them & great common space. The pool & hot tub were added fun for all. The beach was an easy short walk that our 80 yr old grandparents could walk without assistance. We all had a spectacular beach week!

Relaxing

We have been staying on the Island annually since 84, the stay at High Rigger was very comfortable and relaxed - which is our goal. No issues.
