A short walk from this private ranch-style 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom Folly Field Road home, leads to a marvelous stretch of white sandy beach and the rolling Atlantic. Designed to make the outdoors an extension of the indoor living area, the back yard is fenced, with a large patio partly covered by a trellis, a kidney-shaped pool* with a waterfall in the shallow end, a built-in professional grill with rotisserie, fireplace, and dining table seating six along with lounge chairs for relaxing around the pool. Inside, the open living space has travertine stone and Italian tile flooring throughout with the exception of the bedrooms, which are carpeted. The kitchen is generously proportioned with stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops including the center island, with seating looking out over the pool, plus a separate breakfast bar. Decorated throughout in warm neutral tones, the great room has comfortable furnishings plus a game area and french doors to the patio and pool. The game area includes a 42" Sony HDTV with HD Cable channels, DVD/VCR player, stereo, and Sony Play Station II.
The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with flat screen TV and private bathroom that includes a jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower while the other two bedrooms each have a double bed and share a bathroom. Laundry facilities and free wireless internet access are also provided.
At the end of Folly Field Road is the Town of Hilton Head Island's Folly Field Beach Park, which has restrooms, outdoor showers, a boardwalk to the beach, and beach matting to makes the beach more handicap accessible. For a bit of tennis, there are public courts nearby at Chaplin Community Park, as well as a basketball court, picnic pavilion, dog park, restrooms and playground. Golfers have a number of courses to choose from, the closest being three courses at Port Royal Plantation golf club. Nearby marinas include Broad Creek and Shelter Cove, and offer boat rentals and a variety of activities ranging from jet skiing to kayaking in search of some of the wonderful Lowcountry water wildlife. Shopping nearby is down Matthews Drive to Port Royal Plaza on the right and Pineland Station on the left with shops, grocery store, and restaurants.
* Free pool heat is available March through May and September through October for 7-night Saturday to Saturday reservations when paying full advertised rate. November-February and June - August pool heat is available at an additional cost. Cool Pool is also available for additional charge July and August.
