The living area has built-in bookcases surrounding the fireplace with a large flat screen TV mounted above the stone mantle and surrounded by comfortable seating, plus glass doors to the large pool* with decking, including a covered sitting area with fireplace, built-in grill and full pool bath. The dining area has a table grand enough to seat 10, surrounded by walls of windows. A pleasant sitting area is situated in a bay window next to the spacious kitchen with granite countertops, including a large breakfast counter, large island, and top-of-the-line appliances. From the entry foyer, there is a half flight of steps leading to a bedroom that has a king-sized bed, flat screen TV, and en suite bathroom with a walk-in, fully tiled wrap-around shower. Up another half flight of steps is a landing with a couple of comfortable reading chairs, then a few more steps and the 4 remaining bedrooms on the second floor. One bedroom has 2 sets of bunk beds plus bathroom with tub/shower combination, 2 more bedrooms each have queen-sized beds and private bathrooms with walk-in showers, while the final bedroom on this level is a spacious master suite with king-sized bed, a sitting area, flat screen TV, and large private bathroom with a large tub and walk-in wrap-around shower. The last room on this level is the extraordinary media room that features a large, wall-mounted flat screen TV with touch screen controls, automatic blackout shades and large sofa to promote comfortable viewing.
Getting around the plantation is easy using the many designated bike paths and bikes can rented from several places nearby. Tennis players have a couple of options for reserving court time including South Beach and Harbour Town Racquet Clubs, while golfers have a choice of three courses, the Ocean, Heron, or Harbour Town Golf Links, home to the PGA RBC Heritage Tournament. Kids might enjoy the petting farm at Lawton Stables, or try a trail ride that goes through Sea Pines Preserve, which abounds with wonderful Lowcountry flora and fauna. South Beach and Harbour Town also have marinas offering boat rentals from motor and sail to kayaks and jet skis, as well as various kinds of excursions on Calibogue Sound. Both marinas are also surrounded with a wide choice of shops and restaurants.
