Nothing rivals the vista of sand, sea and sky which can be viewed from this 2 bedroom, 2 bath oceanfront villa. Set in the gated community of Palmetto Dunes, this light and airy villa has tile floors and high ceilings. The full kitchen, which has granite counter-tops and breakfast bar, opens to the dining area and living room with flat screen TV and a sleep sofa. All face the balcony with splendid ocean views framed by palmettos rustling in the light sea breeze. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with TV and private bath plus sliding glass doors to the balcony, also with stellar ocean views. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed, TV and private bath as well.
In addition to free internet access provided to guests, guests can enjoy the surrounding manicured grounds and shimmering lagoons which encompass a beachside pavilion with a large heated pool and spa. A boardwalk leads from the pool deck over the dunes to the wide, sandy stretch of beach which runs the length of Hilton Head Island. For tennis buffs, free tennis is available at the Palmetto Dunes Tennis Center and guests can rent bikes to explore the multitude of bike paths around the island, or rent a kayak or canoe to meander along the lagoons that wind throughout the plantation. Palmetto Dunes is also home to three great golf courses designed by three of the best: Robert Trent Jones, George Fazio, and Arthur Hills. For a change of pace, take the free door-to-door shuttle to Shelter Cove Marina (from March - Oct.) and enjoy dinner while watching boats dock, visit a variety of shops, or watch the fireworks spectacle that happens every Tuesday evening during the summer.
