North Forest Beach is the ideal location if you are looking for large rental homes or condos and villas that are very close to the action of Coligny Plaza.
Most homes in North Forest Beach range from 3 to 7 bedrooms and all are within walking distance to the Atlantic Ocean. These homes can sleep between 6 and 24 people. Some even have 7 and 1/2 bathrooms, great for a large family-and-friend reunion. They may include private pools, grills, game rooms and free Wi-Fi. North Forest Beach has streets named alphabetically for birds: for example Dove Street is followed by Egret, which helps if you are ever lost as you will know which way to go.
The villas or condos are close to Coligny Plaza with the three main complexes being North Shore Place, The Breakers and SeaCrest. The Breakers is probably one of the oldest condo structures on the Island and the buildings are three stories with NO elevator. They are cozy units that have a living area plus a bedroom and some even have bunk beds in the wall. These will usually have a stackable washer/dryer and some of the units have amazing direct views of the ocean. SeaCrest and North Shore sit catty-corner across the street from each other and are some of the newest villa structures on the Island. SeaCrest has three buildings with two being oceanfront/oceanview while the last building has resort views of the lush landscaping along with pathways and views of the two pools. There is a restaurant in the building along with a workout room and a heated indoor resistance pool. North Shore is an upscale condo complex that has a beautiful rooftop pool, hot tub and sun deck (4th floor) and also allows those staying here to have privileges at the oceanfront SeaCrest pool.
Being on the south end of the Island makes finding North Forest Beach easy, just drive down Pope Avenue, take the Coligny Circle three quarters of the way around and you are there! On the left hand side of the road you will immediately find Coligny Plaza with over 150 shops and restaurants, daytime and nighttime activities such as musical groups one night or a magician on another. This is the perfect location for visitors of all ages to find something of interest. On the right side is The Beach Market, also with shops and great dining options. Back on the south side of Coligny Circle you can have cool cocktails right on the beach at the famous Tiki Hut bar (at the Beach House) where you can people watch or even join in a game of beach volleyball. There are two grocery stores that are conveniently close as well as food choices from the whole international spectrum, from Greek, to Italian, to Mexican to good old southern cooking or 35 flavors of wings. Don't forget that you often can park your car once you arrive and then rent a bike and take off down the beach or fabulous bike paths that interconnect all of Hilton Head Island.
